Summary
Victor was no cowardly man, he was a madman with a dedication to his work. He did not recoil from the life he brought forth, he was the only person who saw true perfection and art in his Progeny, where others would see only uncanny beauty, cold and unnaturally still, akin to stone statue that came alive, with silvery lines giving away to its dark birth.
But for Victor, the opinions of others mattered not, for he loved his creation as a mother would unconditionally love her child. After all, how different were the eyes of his beloved creature from the eyes of a new-born, both looking for the first time onto a world they were not yet familiar with. And in that first gaze, Victor did not see an abomination, he saw his legacy, his lineage, and his purpose defined.
