Summary
“I can't– I won't be left behind, dad,” he said, trying not to let his voice crack in the end. “I'll be good, I won't exert myself I swear.” His dad sighed, he was hesitating and it showed. “Let me come with you,” he finally said, clenching his fist hard against his thigh. "Please."
Still frowning, Jake looked over at Neytiri, eyes full of questions. The trip wouldn’t be long, they were only dropping Spider off to high-camp and returning, but danger loomed everywhere. In return, she tilted her head slightly, as if to say that sometimes, it might be good to bend a little. His dad ended up nodding so faintly Neteyam thought he had missed it.
Or,
Neteyam survived getting shot, but the aftermath left him lost and angry, violence lingering in his mind like a never receding tide. Recovery was hard, finding who he was outside of duty and sacrifice harder. Between healing and finding himself, he nevertheless managed to find some peace in the bond he shared with Ao’nung, once his closest friend, now something more.
But among the ashes of an unrelenting war, he knew he would have no choice but to fight again, when a blazing enemy arose against them.Bookmarked by Drpepperguzzler

Summary
Neteyam wasn’t the same after the accident. Everyone could see it, even if no one said it out loud. He had thought things would go back to how they were, that time alone would fix it but the quiet lingered, heavy and unfamiliar.
So the family decided to leave. A fresh start, far from the city. They traded concrete and noise for open air and the sound of waves, heading for the beach in hopes that distance might dull the ache. Maybe it would be good for them.
For Ao’nung, though, life by the water had grown painfully dull. Every day looked the same as the one before, and with his last year stretching out in front of him, that simply wouldn’t do. It was supposed to be unforgettable. And if nothing was going to change on its own, he figured he’d just have to change it himself.
It started with a bet between his friends.

Summary
Andrew said never to contact him again, and if it's one thing he learned from his therapy sessions, it was to listen. Hear others out on their problems with you if you want them to hear you as well.
So he would hear, and he'd listen.
He wouldn't try to find or bother Andrew.4 years ago, he would've broken down if you told him he was capable of being better. Would've told you you're lying to him.
Now, if you said that, he'd just smile and say he's already become better– and filled that void where the unhappiness used to settle.
..What changed?
(pss,, hey... read first chap/info!! it's important!)
