Day 1: College AU
"Alright, so I don't know what your type is exactly," Sapnap began, taking Karl's hand in his arm and pulling him deeper into the house, George following closely behind. "I mean, I've met your ex- not much of a looker, but to each their own."
"Hey!" Karl gasped offendedly.
"Stop defending him," George pinched Karl lightly on his arm.
"I mean, I've primed you like six guys who would love to take you home," Sapnap told him.
"Primed? Sapnap I feel-" Karl shuddered. "I feel icky."
"It's a mutually beneficial agreement, no need to be icky about it," Sapnap assured him. "You can pick whichever one you like," Sapnap smirked. "Or two, or three, separately or at the same time, if you wanna double or triple get over someone-"
This time it was Karl that elbowed Sapnap hard on his stomach.
"Stop it," Karl hissed, though Sapnap only laughed.
Karl just got cheated on by his boyfriend of six years. Yeah, it really sucks, Sapnap and George thinks so too. Maybe that's why they try to hook him up with someone at Sapnap's frat's party for a little quick one-night stand. Best way to get over someone is to get under someone else, right? Wonder who it could be?

His last summer to watch Sap chase George around the dock with a flopping perch in hand, to watch George retaliate by slinging sticky soda over his pale back as he squats to re-worm his hook.
Last summer to drive up to the lake for weeks at a time with his friends, hole up in his secret nook with his favorite boy in the whole wide world. His last summer to kiss George under the warm rainfall of the shower, ducking around angry hits when he lands a smack on a plump ass.
So. He’ll enjoy what he has while it lasts.

DAY 4: Kidfic
"Well, as you've probably guessed, I'm Teddy's piano teacher. George Davidson."
"Nice to meet you," he said, smiling, as they shook hands. George had a strong grip, and the way he looked into Clay’s eyes nearly mesmerized him.
"I suppose I should introduce myself, or something like that," George continued. He spoke with slight hesitancy, betraying that he was nervous, but that only made him more endearing. "I'm not good at it, so you'll have to bear with me."
"It's okay," Teddy put in, a devious smile flashing across his face. Clay recognized the look immediately and knew no good could come from it. "Neither is Uncle Clay. He stutters a lot whenever he talks to men. It's because he's obsessed with getting dates, that's what I think."
Clay takes his nephew Teddy for piano lessons. A romance between Clay and the Teacher ensues. But, they encounter their struggles along the way.

"He hated your passion fruit tea by the way," Quackity said.
"What?" Karl immediately sounded defensive. "What do you mean he hated it?"
"Well he asked for something interesting so I just gave him one of your orders," Quackity said, starting to work on Karl's drink. "Hated it."
"Rude," Karl sneered. "Okay, okay. I take that personally. Is he coming tonight?"
"He should be," Quackity nodded.
"You're going to get him a hazelnut latte with sweetened foam, and a dash of nutmeg at the top," Karl said. "On me."

Sapnap is a black coffee type of guy. Karl almost always orders a different drink every time.
By some series of events, Sapnap ends up ordering one of Karl's drinks and he hated it.
Karl would not give up until he changes Sapnap's mind.But they haven't actually talked to each other. Or met for that matter.
They've just been flirting through the barista, their friend Quackity.

Karl rolled his eyes as he leaned his cello against his bed, walking towards his door, and swung it open.
"What?" Karl asked.
"Curfew was like seven hours ago, will you please shut up," Sapnap hissed.
"I'm writing a piece and if I wait until tomorrow-"
"You'll forget it, I know, I know, you've said that countless times before-" Sapnap groaned. "Might I suggest voice notes? Fucking, sing it out, Jacobs."

Karl Jacob plays the cello and he plays it really well, he also composes his own music sometimes. That's really cool and Sapnap appreciates that being a violinist himself, but playing it at 4 AM? Come on, dude. Worst. Neighbor. Ever
The fact that they're both auditioning for Julliard and puts them into an indirect competition? Let's just that say that the week leading up to the audition that's filled with 4 AM practices makes the tension so much worse.

lo-fi rap filled the comfortable silence that had once been. nick blew at his hot chocolate, drizzled at the sides with chocolate sauce and balancing mini marshmallows at the surface, fluffy white bodies bobbing up and down in the swirling hazelnut drink. he took a sip and felt cradled.
"good?" clay always asked with a grin.
nick always nodded, pulling his mouth away from the brim of the mug with a hot chocolate mustache. "s'good," he said, looking up and receiving the giggly kiss clay always gave him.
warm, and sweet, and tasting of his and clay's childhood – clay's mom used to make it the same way when nick came over for sleepovers. they drank it together all the time, before clay's sweet tooth rotted away with his age. he only had it on occasions now, while nick had it every time he came over in the cold.
nick thought as his drink swirled in its mug. those were the days, back when everything was so simple, and easy, when everything was written for them. now, as adults, they were holding the pen with their own hands.
"aren't you scared?"
or the one where nick and clay talk about the future.

How do things start, and how do things end? Whenever Dream thinks about George, he thinks about this. How does it start, and how does it end? Well, Dream knows how it starts.
Dream holds out a hand. "I'm Dream," he states simply.
George narrows his eyes a little. "George," he replies slowly as he grips Dream's hand. The two stare at each other for a moment, hatred brewing deep within their eyes. Everyone else lets out little exclamations of approval, happy that the two smartest kids are meeting. George and Dream, though; they both know.
They don't like each other.

Day 3: Flowers
“I promise you. I promise I’ll come back.”
He promises, George thinks wistfully. He promises such a thing- to offer George with his word on something, to uphold it. It’s as if he’s saying that he’ll give the world to him, just for him. But somewhere is the lingering thought in George's mind is that he won't come back. That the cruel war that had riddled their land will take him too, and he will be left aching and worry-worn. George shivers at the thought. Of a life without him.
“You promise?"
That you’ll come home to me?
And as if he heard those unspoken words. Dream beams at him.
“I promise. You won’t even notice that I was gone, my love.”
George lets out a wet and broken laugh at the overly romantic pet name that he associates with his beloved. Dream does so too, before pulling him back into his embrace.
They stay there for a bit. The war can wait.
“I promise I’ll be waiting.”
(or, the war au with letters and oscar wilde quotes.)
