Summary
After the defeat of Gabriel Agreste and the disappearance of the mysterious peacock miraculous user, Marinette is left to try her best as Guardian and pick up the pieces. With the kwamis left in hibernation, no leads on the missing peacock miraculous, and no way to contact her beloved partner, she's left to her wit's end on where to proceed.
That is, until the prime suspect of the peacock wielder coincidentally takes up an apprenticeship at her parents' bakery. Adrien Agreste, son of Hawkmoth, has seemingly planted his roots in her home while Marinette was away for an apprenticeship. This could either be a disaster in the making, or the perfect opportunity to retrieve the missing miraculous... either way, it's war.
At least, it would be, if the gosh darn villain weren't so sweet!

The dim, orange light of an oil-lamp began to show in the distance, growing brighter as the intruder advanced through the forest. Angor Rot clenched his fists, observing as a figure finally broke through the trees and into his line of sight.
He thought he’d find a soldier, an assassin, a mercenary. He had readied himself for the moment the human lord would send his people after his.
But standing there, wide-eyed and tear-stricken, was a woman. She held the lamp high in her left hand, while her right arm was bent at the elbow; a large basket hanging from it. And from that basket… giggles.

Nobody likes having murder-happy evil sorceress problems, but the Trollhunters are main characters, so tough tiddly for them. On the other hand, at least they get to adopt an undead assassin uncle because of it (much to Angor Rot's confusion). Maybe one day he'll learn to stop flirting with death long enough to truly appreciate the third chance he's been given.
In the meantime, everyone can bond through their shared panic in trying to diffuse the Shadow Realm Sorceress time bomb that's about to go off over their heads. Slice of life (and possibly death) to follow.
Canon-divergent, taking place after season 3 of Trollhunters. Does not follow 3Below or Wizards canon, although some of those characters may make appearances.

Magic has to have a cost in a well-built world. Performing a huge task you’ve never done before (like blacking out the sun for miles when you’ve never even made a portal big enough for a person to go through or done magic at all without a staff,) is sure to have some kind of affect.
