(This would be a lot easier if their captives weren’t convinced everyone they talk to is dead. It would also be easier if they didn’t spend half their bloody time bickering.)

Garmadon stood up from where he’d fallen and picked up his weapons – shiny purple blades, four of them – one in each hand. He charged towards the Green Ninja, ready to strike. The superhero dodged again and landed a hit to the back of his head. Garmadon yelled something Jeff couldn’t make out before throwing one of the blades. The Green Ninja moved aside, but clearly not quick enough – the blade had hit him in the arm and from what Jeff could see, it had drawn blood.
The seconds ticked by slowly as the Green Ninja turned around, his hand pressing against the wound. It felt like the whole city was holding its breath, waiting to see what he would do next. Waiting to see how it would all play out. Waiting to see if he’d win. Because losing wasn’t an option if Garmadon was the one who ended up winning.
EDIT: this rewrite will have a TON of changes. cutting out the oni-dragon stuff and focusing more on emotional stuff and bringing the plot heavy stuff in for book 2. i wanna know what yall think -- anything you want me to add/delete/keep? it might influence the way the fic ends up... tell me in the comments!

Fragile, Lloyd was tired of being treated like glass by everyone, Tired of receiving pitying glances from Citizens, and tired of being treated like a "poor little thing who can't do anything for himself"...He wants to show everyone that He it's not made of glass like they think.
