She’s not Druig, doesn’t quite have his wealth of sympathy. She loves humans, of course she does, but Ajak has given orders and she will follow them. Still, World War One goes very hard. Terrible, awful, and even that one she rides out. Ignores it, best she can. But the second one is a little too horrific, and in truth, goes a little too near to where she knows Druig is keeping. So she has to find him, the moment the war ends. Just to check on him, she tells herself. Just to be sure he’s still safe.
