The title's sort of a work in progress. Loosely (or heavily?) based on The Wedding Date.
Arthur hasn't seen his family since a messy breakup with his ex fiance, who happens to be the best man at his sister's upcoming wedding. Unwilling to face this nightmare of a situation alone, he hires an escort named Merlin to be his plus one. They pretend to be dating each other. Between Arthur's anxiety and Merlin's chaotic nature, can they keep the story straight? Arthur has his doubts. Especially when he starts actually falling for the man he's hired.

A fill for the Kink meme prompt, originally done by the lovely Saxifactumterritum. I took some liberties and deviated from the prompt a little, but it's mostly the same!
Arthur/Merlin
Merlin resides in the psychiatry for a couple months, because they've caught him cutting himself again (or he tried to commit suicide). He writes letters to a friend (Gwen? Will?) but there's some mistake in the post office and they keep sending his letters to another person--Arthur.
Arthur resolves to write back and soon falls in love with this mysterious, broken, funny and witty man over mail.
Merlin is hospitalized after a schizoaffective episode and his letter to Will is accidentally delivered to Arthur. They unknowingly help each other through a rough patch, and grow closer for it.

Summary
Izzy raises one trembling hand, turning it so his palm is facing up. Ed's eyes lock onto the thin skin of his wrist, the veins running up it, the hairs that catch the candlelight. He feels lightheaded all of a sudden, blood rushing in his ears.
Izzy's still facing down, and that won't do, Ed needs to see –
He jerks Izzy's face up with a forceful little twist of his wrist. Izzy lets out a small noise, a surprised little "Ah," eyes coming up to meet Ed's.
Ed tips the candle.
Ed makes some realisations about himself and his newly appointed first mate on one of his first nights as Blackbeard.
