Summary
The Great War claimed many victims and after three years there is finally an armistice and peace returns. Former Army Medical Assistant Mori Ougai is fascinated by the horror of war and is disappointed by the retreat, downright angry that the soldiers at the front have left the battlefield like cowardly dogs. His observation leads him to a crucial question: is it possible to alter the brain's lymbic system and create will-less, malleable puppets?
Continueing his research and looking for test subjects, he meets a suicidal boy desperately searching for a reason to live. But soon the innocent boy turns out to be his biggest challenge yet. A twisted self-perception that makes the boy an unpredictable risk. A risk he is willing to take to bring down the boss of the Port Mafia and perfect his breakthrough drug.

Summary
Der Große Krieg forderte viele Opfer und nach drei Jahren kommt es endlich zu einem Waffenstillstand und Frieden kehrt ein. Ehemaliger Assistenzarzt der Armee Mori Ougai ist fasziniert vom Schrecken des Krieges und ist enttäuscht über den Rückzug, geradezu verärgert, dass die Soldaten an der Front wie feige Hunde das Schlachtfeld verlassen haben. Seine Beobachtung führt ihn zu einer entscheidenen Frage: Ist es möglich, das lymbische System des Gehirns zu verändern und willenlose, formbare Marionetten zu schaffen?

Summary
Dazai slips away from work and enjoys a nice day out. What could be better than getting drunk in a bar in broad daylight and musing about your own life? But his colleagues from the Armed Detectives don't allow him to have his day off. No sooner than Dazai realizes it, he has master detective Ranpo on his back. For some strange reason, everyone is worried about him and getting on his nerves. And by everyone, that means everyone. Even his annoying ex-partner Nakahara Chuuya tries to cheer him up. Ugh! As if that wasn't bad enough, Kunikida once again plays the hero in the shining armor. But Dazai just wants to be left alone and get drunk. A team mission brings the two quarrelsome men closer together and reveals their true feelings.

When he has worked through the large pile of paperwork and realizes that almost everything is done, he decides to pay the miserable slacker a surprise visit and drag him to work if necessary. Playing hooky from work? Not with Kunikida! That goes against his ideal. But by the time he and Atsushi find Dazai, it seems it's already too late....

Als Dazai die Port Mafia verließ, nahm er sich nie die Zeit, die Dinge richtig zu beenden. Als ehemaliger Mafioso hat er viele Feinde in der Schattenwelt und alte Freunde, denen er besser aus dem Weg geht. Als Tachibana Suguru die Agentur bittet, seinen Fall zu übernehmen, wird mehr als offensichtlich, dass Dazai nicht nur ein guter Schauspieler ist, sondern auch seine Vergangenheit nicht abschütteln kann.

In a matter of hours, they’d managed to blast a hole into Izuku’s whole world. These bastards who wanted UA secrets, analysis on all the up and coming heroes and hero students. They knew what Izuku was, who he was. They knew what they had taken. Worst of all, Izuku knew he could give them what they wanted. He could give them everything and maybe they’d let him go, or maybe they’d kill him quickly.
But Izuku was not a traitor to his own friends and family.

Summary
The structure shifts one final time. Kacchan’s eyes widen. His mouth opens wide, screaming something, but Izuku doesn’t hear it. He tries to jump, but the frame cracks beneath him, and he slips backwards, barely catching himself before he tumbles into the raging water.
Time seems to expand outwards, slowing down between one heartbeat and the next. Izuku launches forward again, but it is not enough. Not soon enough, not fast enough, not strong enough.
He’s swept into the dark as the building crumbles in on itself, hand still outstretched. Kacchan’s fingers brush against his before he is swallowed by the falling debris.
or: izuku gets a building dropped on him. this has entirely foreseen consequences.

“Kacchan,” he called. “I’m here. What’s wrong?” He could feel his heart begin to race once he inhaled the smoke, but he pushed that to the back of his mind so he could focus on Bakugou.
“It—It’s their fuckin’ quirk. Hit me with the smoke, and I—I can’t—“
“Easy,” Deku tried to soothe him. “Can I touch you?”
“Huh?” Bakugou lifted his head just enough to look at him. “F—fine. Fuck, I don’t care.”
Deku gently placed his hands on his arms, rubbing them with his shaking hands.
“I think their quirk induces anxiety,” Deku said. He only guessed that because after he breathed in the smoke, he felt like he was on the brink of falling apart. However, Deku had been hiding panic attacks for years, so it was like an average day for him.
“I noticed,” Bakugou grumbled, trying to keep up the tough act.
