Summary
Cleansing as played by Jin Guangyao is not helping Nie Mingjue any. If anything, his condition is worse than before. However, Wei Wuxian will be thrice damned if he'll let the man who saved his family die – even if their marriage was purely political in nature. If it means he has to learn to play the difficult score himself and enlist the help of the one he's been secretly pining over all this time, then so be it. He's really been through tougher shit and survived. For the most part.

Summary

Things do not always go smoothly, but sometimes the family you find is the one you should have had all along.
It's a pretty light Mature that could probably have been okay as a heavy Teen. Fully written and beta-read; 73k of raising children, standing up for what one values, and falling in love.

While his curious mind is left unable to stop poking at this new perspective on Lan Wangji, circumstances in the Cloud Recesses begin to change and Wei Wuxian is suddenly presented with life-altering opportunities.
Maybe Gusu isn’t so bad after all?

It was, of course, entirely Darcy's own God-Damn fault for not picking up on the rather vital inflection in Jane's voice when she'd made the request. Because 'this thing with Thor' was, in fact, a Thing. An actual, honest to God(s?), gathering of the big players of the nine realms (well, the peaceable ones) in Asgard.
