Summary
Noctis saw it.
He saw the one in a million chances before his very eyes.
Clarus wasn't looking.
Cor wasn't looking.
Hell, not even Nyx was looking.
He didn't have time to pinch himself to ensure that he wasn't imagining it-
so he just warped in front of his father and bit the bullet. He'd be damned if something terrible could happen to his father just because no one else was looking.
In which Noctis steps in the way to protect his father and nearly becomes a martyr in the process.
Regis instead becomes the protected, and upon cradling the bleeding body of his child once again, reminds everyone how fierce he can be.Featuring PapaBear!Regis

Summary
“I’m ace, Iggy!” It very nearly comes out as a sob, and this time, the tears do blur his vision. He catches the look of surprise on Ignis’s face– probably from his tone, or volume, rather than the subject matter, but he doesn’t want to know what crosses his face, anyway, so he turns away. Lets the words tumble out before he can stop them. "Asexual."

Summary
And in that moment of distraction, the only noise that truly stood out amongst the rest was the chilling crash as something hit the raging river below.
Between that and the sound of battle it should have been insignificant but a lack of a certain hot-headed Prince was enough to make Ignis’ stomach turn. There are certainly better places than a -bridge- to encounter a Magitek Dropship. There's also certainly better weather to do so in than a storm. When what should have been an ordinary scuffle goes horrifically wrong and the Prince takes a tumble to the raging depths, Prompto rashly jumps in after him.

Summary
This magic wouldn’t last. This would probably only be a brief moment, a small memory in which he would be able to recall with certainty that his dad had been proud of him, because once the magic was over, once they got back to real life, his dad would realize just how bad a son and heir he really was.

Summary
He shuffled forward, then hesitated when the kid - not a kid, this is Noct - flinched. "Noct?" he asked. "Come on, man, tell me what's going on."
Noctis stared at him for a long moment, and then, very gently, he said, "Who are you?"
