It was a lot easier to ignore and dismiss his crush, when he'd been able to tell himself it wasn't allowed because of their careers, rather than to own up he'd lost her to another man. Because the Commander doesn't seem to have any problem with a man who's also in Alliance blues, just him. And Joker would never admit as much, but his heart may just be as fragile as the rest of him.

Shepard’s interactions with the Prothean beacons and the cipher changed her on a profound level, which intrigues Javik. She has to learn and embrace these changes within herself to better understand him.
Javik gains respect for the human commander as she consistently proves to be a formidable enemy of the Reapers. But will it be enough to get him to open up?

Not only is moving to a whole continent a task in and of itself, having to work with Severus Snape was not in her job description. He is an severe, infuriating, and oftentimes, just plain rude, and all she wants to do is get the job done. She is little prepared for the year to come. 1991 will be full of surprises for both this Potions Master and this woman from across the pond.
Healing through connection is possible, and perhaps two people who seem so different on the surface have more in common than they would ever realize.
