Jimmy doesn’t have his wings, they just never grew and until the games he didn’t think he even really wanted them, but as he makes allies in each of the games they all decide to make him a pair, each is different, reflecting the alliance and his bonds. But Jimmy is a canary, an omen, and he knows what he’s inviting every time he accepts their gift. However, Jimmy is the only one who remembers each game, and as punishment his wings are imprinted in permanence on his back, inked patterns that burn with memories he’s not sure he wants to keep.

Jon growled in annoyance, he hated having to go up and talk to Elias every month, supposedly it was to ‘determine his progress’ but Jon didn’t buy that, and even worse he could never properly remember them, everything seemed blurry when he tried.
He climbed up the stairs and knocked on his boss’s door, an odd feeling tugging in his gut as he heard the sharp “come in Jon” and he opened the door to step into the office and take a seat before Mr Bouchard- no, Elias. Why had he thought of him as Mr Bouchard and not Elias? He didn’t deserve that respect.
Elias smiled.
