The night before the All Stars game, Shane Hollander, Ilya Rozanov, Hayden Pike, Scott Hunter and Carter Vaughn are made to attend the launch of state-of-the-art cruise ship by Commissioner Crowell. They're not happy about it. Especially when the ship gets hijacked, and sent careering across the Gulf Of Mexico. With the ship captain frozen out of the controls and all communications scrambled, Hunter is under pressure to come up with a plan to save everyone on board.
But Rozanov has other things to worry about. Hollander is missing. They've barely spoken since his tuna meltdown, and Ilya's come to the horrifying realisation that he's totally in love with his rival. What if he never gets the chance to tell him? Or worse, what if he does and Hollander says it back? Now he's in a race against time to save his soulmate.
Will he find him before the ship sinks? And if he does, will there be enough room on the door for them both?

He shifted Ilya’s limp form in his arms, resting his golden curls against his left shoulder.
Eventually, a whimper finally escaped the Russian's lips, and Shane breathed a sigh of relief. He shifted weakly in Shane’s grip, before glancing upwards clearly dazed, “...Шана?”
“Yes, yes, it’s me Shane”
Ilya’s face visibly relaxed, relief seeming to flood his features, slumping back into Shane’s grip and nuzzling his head into Shane’s chest, before a whimper escaped his lips, “Больно”.

Ilya is totally fine. He is not sick; Russians do not do this. Only he can't seem to think straight, the world is swaying and he feels uncomfortably dizzy.
Ilya is petrified of Shane seeing him, and Shane will be arriving at his place soon; Ilya needs to sort himself out quickly.
However, Ilya is deeply unaware the lengths this Canadian would go to, to care for this sick, needy Russian.

"Okay." Ilya takes a deep breath, letting it out. He lays down, resting his head on a pillow, and lays the phone on his diaphragm after he puts it on speaker. He hums, thinking. "Do you like chai actually? Or your, uh— friend, he decides for you?"
There's a long, long silence after that. Ilya swallows, hoping he hadn't asked the wrong thing. He went on a limb, in a way, because that's what Ilya always does. He assumes things, and butts in where he probably shouldn't and gives boys who look like they're emotionally one foot in the grave notes with his number on it. For some reason.
"No, he doesn’t." Shane says, eventually, and all Ilya's muscles un-tense. "I do really like chai. Caramel chai, mostly, if wherever I go has it."
"This can be arranged." Ilya says, his hands behind his head. "I am very good barista."
Shane snorts, then. Ilya makes it his goal to get him to laugh, and he'd say he's making pretty good progress so far.
Or, Shane is in a severely abusive relationship with his boyfriend, Ash. When they visit a nearby café one day, their server, Ilya, realizes something isn’t quite right between them.
Ilya can’t help but try and do something about it.

By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.

Ilya nods and lets his hand move through Shane’s hair. It is soft, and Shane leans into the touch, eyes closing briefly as if the contact alone is enough to ground him. The response is so natural that it gives Ilya pause.
“Tell me about your limits.” Ilya doubts he is going to be close to any limits tonight, as Shane looks like he already had a pretty rough night. But he still needs to ask, good hygiene.
A small smile appears on Shane’s face, he looks at Ilya deeply, eyes not wandering away as he speaks, “There are no limit, sir.” He looks at the disbelief appearing on Ilya’s face and offers, “I’m the house slave.”
Or, Ilya didn’t come for attachment, but Shane, bruised, obedient, and unraveling, becomes the one thing he can’t leave broken.
