“You’re a fucking genius,” Andrés said, a grin crawling across his bloodied mouth, “and just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love you more.”
(Or, Andrés is an actor struggling to stay relevant and Martín is his agent. Their lives go downhill when a kidnapping goes wrong. And unlike the movies, things get very ugly very fast.)

The whip sang through the air with a high, almost birdsong-like whistle.
Then the leather cracked across his flesh.
It felt as if he’d been struck with a red-hot poker. His back arched involuntarily. He was only vaguely aware that he was screaming, black spots dancing across his vision. The ropes bit into his wrists.
“One.”Stede is captured on his way back to Ed and refuses to allow any more harm to come to his crew. Hurt/comfort with an emphasis on the "hurt". We take care of wounds (as a crew)! Implied Blackbeard/Stede but not focused on it. Tried to think ahead with tags/trigger warnings, but please take care & let me know if I should tag any additional stuff!
