Peter wasn’t sure if he was going to faint, throw up, or cease existing entirely.
He knew he was hoping for the latter.

Peter hasn't spoken to Tony in two months - not since their argument. It had been stupid really, and looking back Peter wasn't sure if he could even pinpoint what started it, but he hadn't been back to the Tower since. He had been too ashamed of his behaviour to face Tony, and had no intentions to return. But then, his class field trip is announced - to Stark Industries.
Peter is determined to keep his head down, swallow his hurt at the genius' rejection, and get through this trip as smoothly and painlessly as possible.
Tony isn't interested in seeing him anyway.

Every whisper of the wind feels like footsteps. Every rustling leaf is a potential threat. He knows better than to trust logic—it’s failed him too many times before. Not with her. He can’t take chances. Not when Morgan’s safety hangs by a thread.
“What’s wrong, Mo?” he asks again, his tone soft but tight, fraying at the edges like the fabric of his patience. He adjusts his grip on her, his hands firm and steady, as though holding her tightly enough can somehow shield her from everything going wrong around them.
“I have to go potty,” she whispers, the words so timid and achingly innocent that Peter’s heart clenches. But then Midtown then makes a mandatory rule that each person needs at least 2 emergency contacts. Peter not really having anyone else writes down Tony Stark’s phone number; it’s not like the school will call him anyway, right? Turns out when you’re the prime target for Flash Thompson’s bullying, things go differently.
Or: Peter gets injured because of Flash, and May’s phone is dead. Cue Tony Stark.

“I mean vultures are pretty gross, I guess. And you always kick my butt on that tomb level on Apocalypse of the Damned.”

Peter snorted. “C’mon, Ned. You know how much I love Tony Stark. He’s legendary.”

Tony can’t help it and he smiles to himself, glancing up at Peter again. He’s staring at the window and raising his eyebrows like he thinks he’s looking at somebody—and sure, he is, but not the person he thinks.
“He’s hilarious,” Tony says, continuing to search for some kind of switch or latch to get the panel working again. Trying to stop getting distracted.
“Yeah,” Rhodey says. “That’s the word for it.”
“You’re not making fun of him,” Tony says, sliding his hands along the wall. “I hope that’s not what I’m hearing.”

The main focus of which is...a girl. A little brown-haired girl curled against the wall. Her eyes are closed, but she’s holding out a hand in defense. A hand plated with red and a glowing sphere encased in her palm.
What is that thing?
Morgan Stark appears in the Stark Industries atrium in the year 2006. Tony and Pepper attempt to get their future daughter back home while dealing with the implications that her existence has for their relationship.
