Sirius froze when he was close enough to really meet the person’s eyes. A dark brown, so dark it almost looked like the void around them.
Throughout Sirius’s life, he had only met one person with eyes like that.
“F-Fuck no.” Barty’s teeth clattered. His entire being shook from the cold.

Summary
"He really doesn't like me that much." Sirius sighed as he closed down the message app only to open it up again. It didn't have the effect he wanted as he found no new messages. "See? It's been a whole five minutes and nothing."
"Right." James smacked his lips before he gave a look to Regulus across the table that Sirius decided to ignore. "And you're not obsessed either?"
"What?" Sirius looked up, his eyebrows furrowing. "I am no such thing."
His phone dinged that second. Sirius's heart skipped as he stared down at his phone.
"Clearly." Evan snorted. Sirius caught the way he elbowed James in the corner of his eye, but he couldn't care less, he had a new message from Remus.
OR
After the figure skating finals, life fell back into some sort of normal except that Sirius had gotten the number of silver medalist Remus Lupin. Meanwhile, Evan finds himself forced into situations he'd rather avoid from his new friendship. All while Remus and Barty navigate their own shifting realities. Feelings get trapped in the mess as ice season is over, the question is, will the ice still feel the same when winter finally comes around again?

He wasn’t sure what he wanted to write, but once he brainstormed for ideas, a lot of them were sad. He knew James could write sad songs, but Barty did it with such elegance that they didn’t sound sad. Only if you really listened.Dorcas and Marlene grounding each other:
“I’ll be here. The entire time. If it gets too much, we can always leave.” Dorcas kissed her cheek. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Marlene whispered.Barty being his chaotic self:
“Do I want to know why you’re peeing together?” Dorcas asked.
"All besties piss cross, you didn’t know that?” Barty grinned.AND SO MUCH MORE!!

“Here, princess.” Sirius’s head snapped towards the voice. On the sofa, his feet up on the coffee table, dressed in Sirius’s slippers and bathrobe, sat Barty. “Paid Reggie a visit, didn’t you? You look all patched up.”
“I locked you away.” Sirius’s voice shook as he slammed the door, shutting the outside world out further. He took a weak step towards Barty, still sure he was wrong somehow, that he wasn’t really there. “Highest security. How are you here?”
“Oh, give us some credit. We’re an escape artist when we want to be.” Barty reached for the champagne bottle that stood on the table and took a swig straight from the neck. “Really, the tax dollars they waste on those ‘power-dampeners’ is offensive.”

“Thanks for your help…” Marlene’s eyes wandered down to Dorcas’s nametag. “Dorcas.”
“Of course, no problem.” Dorcas smiled, another flutter in her chest when Marlene said her name. She wanted her to say it again just so she could hear it in Marlene’s voice, in Marlene’s accent.
“Sirius will be thrilled. He’s been bugging me about the shop looking a little too cold. Guess flowers were the answer.”
“Flowers do have a way to make any place feel a bit softer.” Dorcas hummed. “I hope they last long, and whenever you need a new bouquet, I’m just across the street.”
“That you are.”
