What was supposed to be a normal, festive christmas eve youtube live-stream with dares and christmas games with Dazai and Chuuya turns into so much more than they could imagine after an anonymous account gifted a galaxy with a dare that neither them or the chat could’ve expected, but it turns into so much more, the sleigh bells ring.
For what started as a chat dare, turns into something more deep— a event that would change their perspective. Maybe a dare was all they needed as a kick-start.

“You should leave the mafia,” Dazai said thoughtlessly, all of his brain power devoted to staring at Chuuya instead of considering his words.
It was like Dazai had pulled some kind of plug in Chuuya’s body. He stopped laughing, stopped moving, stopped doing anything but staring at Dazai with unblinking eyes. He was still as a statue for a few seconds, unnatural for someone usually bubbling over with energy like him. Dazai was starting to wonder if Chuuya was too drunk to even recognize him when Chuuya’s lip began to wobble dangerously.
“But I thought…” Chuuya’s voice wavered, making the cool anxious tingle under Dazai’s skin stronger, warning him that he had fucked up. “I thought you didn’t want me to. I thought I wasn’t…wasn’t good enough to go with you.”

On what should have been a casual night of drinking, Dazai asks a very much not casual question, and it brings years of buried feelings up for both him and Chuuya.

“I don’t give a fuck,” Chuuya muttered. “Now get your bitchass outta my coffee shop.”
“Now, now, is that any way to talk to your customers?” the man asked. “Osamu Dazai, pleasure to meet you.” Dazai extended his hand, grinning from ear to ear.
Chuuya swatted his hand away.

In the darkness, he grabs the first uniform he finds and heads out without noticing that it isn't his.
Then, everyone on the base starts congratulating him, and Chuuya has absolutely no idea why. Dazai figures it out immediately, but instead of helping, he decides to enjoy the situation.
