Disclaimer: I stole frequently and unrepentantly from Joss Whedon and the makers of various horror movies throughout this whole series. Also I am not an expert on the Vatican or medical-type things, so please accept my apologies in advance for all the wild inaccuracies I am sure you are about to encounter. If everyone could just assume this is the Magical Made-Up Vatican, you know, like the religious institution version of those tour buses that drive themselves and don't carry anyone but the band, that would be awesome.

Summary
Johnny thought everyone would be better off without him, he was a burden anyway. Who would want someone like him? He was surprised when he woke up after overdosing, Ponyboy next to him with tears running down his cheeks. He didn't understand what was happening, and in his moment of disorientation, he said something that changed his and Pony's relationship.
Something that would make bets be won and lost, have Ponyboy questioning everything, and him left a mess with his thoughts.

Summary
After the church fire, Johnny survives and has lots of time to think in the hospital. He starts to reflect on the promises he and Ponyboy have made to each other, but from the second hand information he’s receiving it’s sounding like Pony doesn’t want that with him anymore.
Ponyboy likes Cherry, he really does, but he can’t help but wish that it was Johnny with him all the time instead of her. It’s not like that though.
Johnny and Ponyboy love each other, deeper than ‘just friends’, but it doesn’t make sense to them. Johnny doesn’t understand, and Ponyboy refuses to acknowledge it. What could go wrong?
