The bee was led forward, and given a firm nod from the king.

Tubbo is hired as the royal minstrel, unknowing of the consequences once the usually aloof king and his prissy son start getting a bit too fond of his melodic tunes and jumpy personality. When he finally realises what a major mistake he had made, would it be far too late? Or- perhaps he was doomed from the very beginning to be a permanent member of the royal court. Whether he wants to or not.

A week ago, Tubbo would say that he had everything. A loving adoptive father, tutors who understood his dyslexia, and his best friend getting their own loving family who’s happy to have Tubbo hanging around Tommy. Life was perfect. Until Tommy broke the news that their perfect families were some of the worst villains in the country, feared and virtually untouchable due to the corruption in the system.
Together, they enact a daring plan. Tommy will take to the streets as the latest vigilante while Tubbo watches his back as the guy in the chair. Together, they’ll take their family down.
Most would say that Tubbo got the easy job.
But as his life becomes torn between two worlds, one where he is loved and the other where he is hunted, Tommy begins to lose himself to the self sacrificing role he’s built, and the heroes start closing in, Tubbo finds it may not be so easy after all.
Because the guy in the chair doesn’t get any back up. They are the back up.

“Oy!” A youthful voice with a British accent called out, and Tubbo tilted his head to see a tall boy standing in front of the alley. Another man stood behind him, just a little bit taller. Great, he thought, someone to get in the way of the fight. To the contrary, the drunk man looked up at the boy, cloudy eyes seeming to clear for a second before flashing in fear. He scrambled back, then got up and ran out of the alley, not even bothering to take his knife, which looked costly. Tubbo stared at the spot where the man had been, confused at why he had run away when just a second ago he had been attacking Tubbo with animalistic vigor.
“You ok mate?” Tubbo jumped, having forgotten that other people were watching. He took a closer look at the two boys standing in front of him, they were both considerably tall, though the older one was taller than the younger. The younger one had a white shirt with red sleeves and blonde hair. He had a satisfied smile, while his friend wore a pensive expression. His brother had on a white button down shirt and black pants. They were both staring at him, he shifted uncomfortably.
