London, in the spring of 1814. With Parliament dissolved, the wealthy and exclusive ton is set to disperse as the Season draws to a close.
After a wearying round of parties and balls, Count Hannibal Lecter is looking forward to celebrating his twenty-fourth birthday at Lecter House, his country estate in Derbyshire. Just a few more engagements and he will be freed from the rapacious attentions of society mothers determined to rid themselves of their darling offspring.
Will Graham is a young man seeking escape in reckless abandonment to pleasure. But as the capital begins to empty, his options are starting to look unpleasantly narrow.
Enter Lady Margot Verger, dear friend of the count, whose interest is piqued by her brother's gleeful tale of the night he and Hannibal encountered a beautiful boy in the Top Room of Quant's, an exclusive club in the heart of Mayfair. When the boy turns up again, Lady Margot begins to formulate a plan for a very special birthday surprise...Ladybird: (noun) Regency slang for a kept lover.

He walks, barefoot, towards it and reaches out a hand to caress the black feathers that frill each of its twisted branches. Inhales the intoxicating scent of its lush bounty of roses: deep maroon, bursting with thick whorls of rosetted petals. He doesn’t touch them. Knows to his cost that when he does, they die - stiffen, clay-brittle, and fracture. The crumbled remains of early casualties are sprayed across the ground. Dream or not, here there is only forward momentum.

A Season 1 AU ficlet which explores a simple premise: what would have happened if, after Will had gone to Hannibal's house and confessed to kissing Alana Bloom, he had ended up kissing Hannibal? Summary
A Victorian A/B/O romance in which Hannibal Lecter is the future Duke of Westvale who has been away at war for the past ten years. His Grandfather has made good on a contract made shortly after Hannibal's birth to procure him a wife. It was supposed to be easy. Naturally, with the Omega, Will, given in the place of his twin sister, it is anything but, because if there is one thing Hannibal Lecter despises, it's Omegas.
