At that, Trinity pushes off the doorframe and turns into the apartment, leaving the door open for Yolanda to follow.
“Guess you figured out that it wasn’t my fault?”
“We figured it out right after you left the room.”
“And I didn’t do it to get back at Langdon, or whatever.”
“I know.”
“You told me to get over it. That it was affecting my patients. That really fucking–” She stops herself, takes a breath and pinches the bridge of her nose, then starts again.
“That was a fucked up thing to say.”
The guilt settles a little deeper, pulling at her insides like a knife had been stuck inside her, and someone was twisting the hilt.

Just as Yolanda and Trinity's relationship was starting to develop into something more, a series of events threatens to ruin everything. Yolanda learns to accept support from those around her and give it in return, as she comes to terms with the ways her relationship with her mother has affected her life in ways she never imagined it could.

“Not until January.” Trinity feeds Yolanda another spoonful of champorado.
Yolanda rolls her eyes both at Trinity and how good the breakfast is. “What gift do you want?”
Trinity grins. Even though they’ve only been fucking each other’s brains out for nearly two months, Yolanda is all too familiar with that grin. It’s the horny grin. Which means– “Boobies,” Trinity says with a cheeky, high-pitched voice.

“I have no fucking clue,” Trinity said.
She didn't even know Garcia had people like that. Ten months and Trinity could count on one hand the things she actually knew about Garcia's life outside of her apartment. She'd never asked. Hadn't wanted to know, she had told herself. Casual. Clean.
What happens when a trauma comes through the ED doors and Trinity realizes she never actually knew Garcia at all?

“Can I ask you something?” Trinity murmurs, after a while. As if she’s only now found the right words.
“Yeah.”
“You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.” She says. And Yolanda’s hands pause for a moment as she scrubs a plate and glances at her. “I just…the letter was on your counter this morning and I…saw it.”
She knows immediately what she means. It’s sat heavy in her mind lately. The results aren’t promising. She didn’t remember leaving the letter from the fertility clinic on the counter but her brain must’ve been elsewhere. It’s not exactly like she’s hiding anything. There just hadn’t been something to tell. She imagined she’d eventually talk to her about it but now there truly is nothing to tell. Not in any positive way.
“I didn’t know you wanted that.” She tells her gently. And Yolanda is glad she doesn’t have to look at her for a moment.
“I…” She breathes out. “I was looking into it.”
Or
Yolanda wants to have a baby. Trinity is very supportive. Perhaps too supportive. Perhaps even an active member of the baby plan.

It’s a kid fic. I dreamt about it.

Trinity moved to intercept, but it was too late. His hand managed to grab a hand full of the nurse's hair before yanking her back and toward his arms. For a moment, Trinity thought he would succeed. That the man would manage to get the nurse into his arms. But despite everything — the strength, the pain, the lack of air — the nurse fought, yanking her own head forward before reaching for Trinity with teary eyes.
“Hu—“ She coughed. “Hoop—“
An action that lasted a second. A mere second, but felt like forever. Trinity knew at that moment that she would never be able to forget those big, scared brown eyes. Tearfilled, as they looked at Trinity with desperation.
It didn’t matter that Langdon had gotten away with endangering patients and stealing drugs. That Garcia had thrown her own words back at her and it had stung. That she might repeat her R2 year before even starting it.
It didn’t matter that this man was bigger, stronger, and angrier than her. A hand had clasped her own, digging their nails into her wrist with desperation.
Nothing mattered except protecting this nurse.
