Summary
The red fabric pooled in his hands, strong but unbelievably soft. Bruce itched to know what it was made out of. Would the fibers match anything on Earth? What would it look like under a microscope? Was it flame retardant? Could it be torn or damaged? How was it able to stop bullets and still be this... soft?
"It was my baby blanket." Clark hummed.
Bruce stopped breathing.
It transformed from the cape of the strongest man on the planet into an infant's swaddle; a relic of a dead world, a soft token of a mother's love that was strong enough to keep her baby safe thirty-three years later. Bruce hadn't cried in almost eighteen years, but tonight, he was about to break that streak.

Summary
“Hey!” Chris all but snarled, getting into Leon’s space, the muzzle of the Silver Ghost pressed up tight against the body armor he wore. He didn’t seem to notice or care, reaching up to yank his nose back into joint–the tears in his eyes were there long before then, even if the pain was the thing that made them spill. “Would you shut up for a second? I thought–”
“I don’t give a shit what you think.” Leon holstered his gun–it had become obvious he wasn’t going to use it, despite the fact that he was practically blistering with rage and hurt. His fingers wrapped around the hilt of his knife instead… not the combat knife on his chest that Marvin had given him all those years ago, but the one at his waist that he hardly ever drew. The one from Krauser. “Get the fuck out of my face, Redfield. Or I’ll make you.”
“You’ll make me?” Chris repeated, incredulous. Asshole. He eyed the hand Leon had on his knife, features contorting. He looked a little older, a bit more rough around the edges, but still achingly familiar and aggravatingly gorgeous. “Go ahead. Because as pissed off as you are, I don’t think you will.”
(Or RE4 Remake, but make it Chreon.)

Summary
A Resident Evil 4 AU where Claire is the one rescuing the president's daughter:
“Every atom of your flesh is as dear to me as my own: in pain and sickness it would still be dear. Your mind is my treasure, and if it were broken, it would be my treasure still.” – Jane Eyre
“Dr. Serra… I remember you.” Chris breathes in astonishment, but he quickly shakes off the surprise to get right to business, “I’m sorry, I’m going to have to skip the pleasantries for now. How did you— Never mind. Tell me everything you know about Agent Kennedy’s whereabouts. He’s alive, right?”
Leon… Please be alright, sweetheart.
It takes Dr. Serra ten solid seconds to respond, either due to long distance connectivity issues or hesitation on the ex-researcher’s side, but it’s the longest few seconds of silence Chris had endured in quite some time.
“Leon is alive for now. Mierda, he does not look good, though.” Dr. Serra finally admits on a heavy exhale, “I think they’ve infected him with a modified version of Las Plagas, a parasite endemic to this region of Spain. I don’t know who is behind this, but whoever it was clearly knew what they were doing.”

Summary
“No…,” Grell whimpered, and William looked up to see a tear rolling down her cheek. She still looked far away, though, and obviously hadn’t cooled down enough to feel less atrocious. “Hideous—” She continued, and William couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at her bizarre behavior.
“What’s hideous? *Me?*” He scoffed. “I thought I was your darling William.”
He took the bottom of one of her white sleeves and dragged it upwards in one fluid motion, just as Grell replied: “No, I am.”
William stilled.
