Summary
When professional basketball player Rio Vidal is involved in another media scandal, her PR team sends her to her hometown of Westview to help organize the town's yearly Christmas Celebration.
Displeased about going back home, especially during the holidays, all Rio expected from this trip was to somehow try to salvage her career.
Yet when she meets Westview’s Mayor Agatha Harkness, all of Rio’s plans change.
“Looking good, Vidal,” Agatha said with a soft smile.
Rio huffed, tossing the basketball away as she moved to get some water.
“You mean until my knee decided to give up on me,” she murmured.
Agatha didn’t say anything, knowing there was no way she could understand or empathize with Rio’s anger over the situation.
“This is the part where you’re supposed to say something to make me feel better,” Rio joked as she drank from her water bottle.
This Agatha could work with.
