Kafka was a cold-hearted, calculative, strategic gal.
She played her cards close to her chest, and could talk her way out of a gun to her skull. She can, and has, use her repertoire of skills to get what she needs done before even bothering to unhealthy her sword or click through safety from her gun.
She was a sharp, cold glacier that did nothing that didn't benefit herself.
But then a star fell into her lap.
And what could she do but melt?
TLDR: A theory fic, involving motherly Kafka, and actual partial raccoon Caelus! Ignore the major character death tag, it's not important!

To be in such a secretive relationship, with one who was reviled as a monster by those that stood closest to them. It was a new experience to Kafka, but one she welcomed with open arms if it meant she could keep the one she earned by doing so.
Zeralith Serofa, the head of the Serofa Family... a woman revered and reviled all at once, a monster walking amongst man, the disgrace of the Serofa family, and the shark haunting the waters of the capital. At least that's what they said, but Kafka didn't believe their words in the slightest. Kafka adored every bit of this woman. From the tail that swayed behind her to the fins that protruded her elbows and spine. There was no part of her that Kafka could not love.
Even if she was a monster, even if she was a beast of nature, despised by those that met her, Kafka cared not... even if they had to secret their relationship away, never allow any living soul know of the bond they share.

However, she is still bed-bound after what March and her went through and unfortunately, there is only one planet which will have the supplies they need to get her back on her feet. “Well, well,” he said, voice low and rasping, though a smirk tugged at his lips. “If you’re looking for a second round, I should warn you — I’m not as ancient as Bladie, but even I’ve got limits.”
Her laugh came soft, amused, with just enough edge to make him feel like she was indulging him rather than truly entertained. Kafka tilted her head so he could see the faint curve of her smile, violet eyes opening just enough to catch his expression.
“Relax,” she murmured, shifting slightly to rest her chin against his sternum. “I only wanted to talk.”
Sampo raised an eyebrow, lips quirking. “Talk? After last night? Dangerous choice of timing.” He sighed dramatically and let his hand flop down against the sheets. “I was hoping for at least a few hours of recovery before we got to the interrogations.”

Kafka's dating history is awful. But Stelle finally comes around and Kafka firmly believes she is the one. However, that changes once she notices new oddities in the girl's behaviour, and now Kafka is filled with worry that this relationship may yet be another disaster. She ends up asking Elio for help with his ability to see into the past, present and future. But firstly, we will look into the oddly comical events which led up to that, and how that will turn into a date.
