She felt Kafka's arms wrap around her waist tighter, causing her to press herself as flush against Kafka's body as she was physically capable of doing.
She nuzzled Kafka's head with her cheek and started petting it slow and gentle.
Kafka sighed in comfort, now planting light kisses along her delicate skin.
It made Himeko dig her nails slightly into her scalp.
"Oh, I've missed you, baby... I've missed you... I missed you... I missed you..." Kafka brought her head up to chant that in her ear, before giving it a light kiss as well.
Himeko closed her eyes and shivered at the contact.

Summary
In more than one way, Kafka was a terrible girlfriend. To say she was unconventional is a severe understatement. She was calculating (to the point that one could call her manipulative). She had a biting tongue and didn't hold back in the slightest when spitting venom. She had a twisted sense of humor and would often scare Himeko on purpose, just to get a jump or a scream out of her. She hid her emotions behind layers and layers of walls, and you had to pry them apart with your bare hands, just to get a glimpse of her true feelings.
She never overstepped a boundary, but god, did she enjoy testing its limits, poking and prodding until Himeko wanted to grind her teeth to dust in frustration.
That was Kafka. Beautiful, terrible, and infuriating, Kafka.

She told herself over and over and over again, holding it close to her heart as she continued, "That's the you I like."
