Harry rolled his eyes as he packed his bags in Dudley's old suitcase. He should have kept his mouth shut about a summer camp where he'd be away from his family and they thought it'd be great especially since Vernon had to go the states for a month anyways. He wouldn't be on a plane with his relatives as they go to the United States.
Now Harry felt himself sweating in the surprisingly humid heat of this Californian forest, the sun bearing down on him making his skin blister despite his tanner skin tone. He was ready to resign himself to his fate, at least that is until he spots a family that makes him think... of home?Series

Inspired by a convo with @ allhailthewatcher: Bruce I-don’t-need-to-speak-this-vague-grunt-expresses-all Wayne can communicate quite fluently with body language and nonverbal cues. The (Batfam) have whole conversations with their shoulders. Alfred occasionally laughs at a particularly well-timed eyebrow twitch and the others get so distressed and baffled. Well, I didn’t base this in the manor like suggested but did enjoy playing in the sandbox.

Summary
There was an unspoken rule in Gotham, do not under any circumstance piss off Robin and that was the original Robin. Some of the Rogues still had nightmares about that laugh, the chirps and calls of birds mixed in with old haunted Lullaby in a language they couldn't decipher. When Robin grew and became Nightwing then the rule changed.
It was such a shame that the newest upstart never got the memo, never realised that behind the bright cheery smile was a Monster and pissing him off was a no go. Unfortunately, it was a lesson learned the hard way and even more so that most of Gotham's Villains were in the line of fire, because said upstart did the unthinkable.
He had taken a Robin.
