Summary
This is a Midnight Poppy Land fantasy AU story.
Poppylan is a forest witch, living alone in the Moonbright Forest. She had been trained in herbology and medicine by her grandmother since she was a child. Occasionally, villagers from the Narin Kingdom would seek her out when traditional medicine failed to cure their ailments, but most of her time was spent alone with her cat, Toady. She would venture through the forest, seeking herbs, plants, mushrooms, and other ingredients for her spells and potions. Her life was simple, but she enjoyed the quiet solitude of her existence as a forest witch. One day, her life is turned upside down by the simple knock on her door. Before he can invite her back to his hotel room, her friend steals her away.
They both thought that was the only time they’d ever see each other. Then a month later, Poppy walks into the MMA gym Tora trains at.

Summary
In this AU, which is non-mafia related, we meet Toraki Hara (Tora for short) who was wrongfully accused of attempted murder in the second degree. He was sentenced to 25 years with the possibility of parole in 10. After serving 5, he was proven innocent and released.
We have Poppylan Wilkes who has moved to Narin City to become a teacher. She is interviewed at Ulaan Academy where her new roommate and quickly becoming friend, Erdene is an Art teacher.
When Tora and Poppy's paths finally cross, he finds her infuriating, judgmental, headstrong and even further deep down, hurting from life just like him. He meets his match in this 5 foot something woman as they learn more about each other and about themselves along the way. They fail at first to understand each other despite their similarities. They both learn that judging a book by its cover before reading the story will be a great lesson for them both.

When the adamantly-single Tora claims to have a girlfriend, he has days to find someone to pretend to date him, else he’ll be stuck with whomever Vincent chooses.
She needs money. He planned to pay a woman regardless. For the next few months, Poppy is, in her own words, Tora’s sugar baby. Just until she gets back on her feet, and just long enough that Tora can claim a painful break up.
And it’s entirely platonic… right?
