Summary
Ed had thought so many times about this meeting. About what he would say to Stede Bonnet. About all the angry things he would tell him. All the pain he would hurl at Stede.
What he hadn’t expected was the cold look on Stede’s face, or for Stede to draw his sword and hold it out toward Ed.
He definitely hadn’t expected the sheer fury in Stede Bonnet’s voice as he said, voice strong and unwavering, “Edward Teach. Draw your weapon.”

Or, Stede and crew retake the Revenge after weeks of chasing it. The boys have some shit to work through. And Ed has a lot of apologizing to do. So does Stede, but he didn't throw anyone overboard or abandon the crew on a deserted islet. So mostly Ed has to apologize.

He's discovered that he's gay, amicably separated from his wife, and founded a (soon-to-be) hopping gay bar. He's garnered many new experiences as of late, but the one thing he hasn't been able to track down yet is love. Burned out on dating apps, he takes his worker's advice and seeks out companionship of a sugaring kind. However, Edward Teach seems to be so much more than he had bargained for.

A bright spot comes into his dreary, digital world when a new coworker, Stede Bonnet, shows up on screen during a biweekly committee call. A work crush might spice things up. But before he can act on said crush, Ed has to figure out if Stede hates working as much as he does. (An office AU but not a "The Office" AU.)

Summary
And what's important to understand is that boredom doesn't work the same way for Edward Teach. Other people, when they're bored, get a little restless, a little frustrated maybe, but it's not the end of the world.
For Ed, boredom is the end of the world.
At least that's what it feels like. When Ed is bored—as in, capital B Bored—all his senses malfunction. The touch of a fine fabric is the same as the touch of splintered wood. He can no longer taste the sugar in the marmalade he slathers on his morning bread. The salty scent of the ocean air is absent. Every sound is too abrasive, even if it's something he usually enjoys, like the sound of Frenchie strumming his lute, or the crew chattering and giggling.
Also he can no longer see color, and that's the worst of all.
