Summary
Keith has a lot of practice being alone; you might almost say he's good at it. When he finds himself seriously injured and stranded on an unknown planet, he knows he's not alone there. And here's the worst part: even after rescue and after things return to normal, Keith gets the distinct sense that whatever was on that planet has followed him. He doesn't have proof. But he knows it's there. He knows it's not going to stop until it gets what it wants.

Summary
"You want to get in the pool with me?" Lance asks.
The question is sudden, but it's not surprising. Lance steps up to the wall to be closer to Keith. It's the only thing separating them - some dense bricks faded by the sun, worn smooth by the hundreds of hands that pass over them. Lance puts his hands on top of the wall, just above waist level. Keith carefully lays his on top of them. Lance's ring is cool under his palm.
Keith tips his head.
"Don't you think we should at least try to stay out of trouble the night before our wedding?"
Lance answers honestly, "Where's the fun in that, Keith?"

Summary
"Dad used to sing t'me," Keith says.
The words are out of his mouth like it costs him nothing to say them, and Lance is holding his breath. It's rare that Keith talks about his dad. He does when Lance asks, or when something suddenly comes to mind, but he has never volunteered anything so effortlessly. Lance usually has to poke and prod him a bit. He doesn't really like to talk about it.
Keith obviously thinks something is funny, though. He mumbles with a sleepy laugh, "But I don't wanna hear you sing it."
Lance covers up his surprise and his heart ache with a small laugh, "Sing what?"
//Keith contracts an alien illness, and Lance's attempts to take care of him unfortunately go astray.

It's weird to have a name and a face to go along with the ideas that Keith has halfheartedly formed around the word mom. He has had plenty of time to imagine what she would be like. How she would act, what she would look like, the things she might say to him.

Summary
Lance can tell he's in the right ballpark by the way Keith's face heats up and his mouth presses together, his eyes wide and directed at Lance's knees rather than his face, or his neck. Maybe he didn't do it on purpose. But he still did it. Keith is only half Galra, maybe less. It's funny that his base instincts and more alien traits are showing through in early adulthood, just when he's starting to feel balanced in his mind and body, and Lance can't help teasing him about it.
"Is this your way of proposing to me? Saying you want to spend the rest of your life with me? Because it's kinda kinky, mullet."

Kind of mean sometimes, but secretly a total dork. Super nice. Beautiful eyes." Pidge bats their own average brown eyes at Lance, unnecessarily dramatic. "Smaller than you, but strong enough to bench press you - "
"Pidge, please shut up."

Summary
Lance is the opposite of affectionate with him.
Maybe that's partly Keith's fault… He's not approachable like Hunk, or nice like Allura, or fun like Coran, or whatever Pidge is that makes Lance lay his whole weight against them until they snap about personal space and they elbow him in the ribs. He's never pushed Lance away or shrugged him off the few times Lance has touched him, but Lance still doesn't seem inclined to do it often, outside of encouraging Keith to pull himself together before he runs the whole team into the ground.
Keith doesn't know what he's doing wrong there. (But then, a small voice says, it's probably weird to want him to touch you, anyway - it's weird to want to hold his hand again - so it's better if he doesn't.)
