There are no more gods and no more monsters. There are only the demigods that came before they faded, and the mythological beings peaceful enough to have been spared from the mass extinction of the Greek and Roman Pantheons. The mist is fragile and barely there, and the protections for what remains in the mythological world are running thin.
At the end of their existences, some gods passed on their power to the last children they would ever have. These offspring are special, stronger, not quite demigods but not quite gods. They are immortal and they bleed gold, but they are not tied to anything and are nowhere near omnipotent.
They aren’t gods, but they are the closest thing the world now has to gods, especially in terms of power. Their existences have changed things and shaken the already weakened mythological world. These beings are not as tied to humanity or as mortal as demigods typically are, belonging to a category all on their own. Something darker. Something not to be messed with. The beginning of a new pantheon.

Harry Potter was tired. After surviving the graveyard and going back to the Dursleys, it seems all his friends and godfather can say to him is "We'll talk when we meet, I can't say anything". He genuinely doesn't know if he can last another month like this. And if he doesn't get news, he'll find some for himself. So he decided to leave, just for a month. The only thing he wants is to breathe. Maybe for the last time.
Of course, nothing was ever easy for Harry. So it really shouldn’t surprise him that he turns out to be a wanted criminal, acquires unholy ancient magic and becomes the third side of the war himself, not to mention the pretty blonde whom he picks up while he's on the run.

Armed with a new name, a new family, a new wand and one grumpy Death invisibly looming by his side Hadrian Black tries to rid the world of Voldemort. But maybe the dark wizard was on to something.
They needed change. Yet to invoke change, he needed to first change himself.
He needed to accept that not everything was black and white.

That his friends could turn enemies and his enemies could turn allies.

As a healer, he isn't allowed to kill except in self defense. Injure? Poison? Now those were all on the table. As it has been said, no one ever suspects the healer. After a raid on Malfoy Manor, Harry learns just how true that sentiment is as he is taken in by the Order of the Phoenix and works to destroy them from the inside out.
