Charlie was beginning to regret all of his life choices. No amount of money saving and family respect was worth waking up before 7am. None. His earliest lectures had begun at an easy 9 am and he lived close enough that he had no reason to roll out of bed before eight on those days. Sure, when he was at Truham early mornings were a thing, but it had been a good year since that mattered. He was out of practice. And in serious need of caffeine.
The worst part of being back in Kent wasn’t the early mornings, it was losing every speck of freedom he felt living in London.

Charlie Spring transfers to Truham High in 10th grade to get away from the bullying he faced at his old school. He makes friends with Tao, Elle, and Isaac, and almost immediately crosses paths with Nick Nelson, and there’s immediate interest between the two of them. Then he finds out that Nick is the catcher for the Truham baseball team. Thaaaaaat’s a bit of a problem.

Nick Nelson is… mostly looking forward to the start of 11th grade at Truham High. He’s popular enough, has good friends, and is the starting catcher on the varsity baseball team. But Nick is tired. Nick Nelson finds himself working in an office job he doesn't care about sitting next to the most beautiful man he's ever met - only thing is he's not sure why he's suddenly finding a man beautiful. There's a a journey of bi-sexual awakening for Nick and some old wounds throwing up insecurities for Charlie given Nick's slightly hot and cold behaviour while they work out who they are for each other.
However there's quite a lot of flirting and pinning in there thrown in plus they help each other work out what they really want from life both in a relationship and in other aspects. For anyone who's ever been dissatisfied at work this might ring a few bells too!

Charlie has graduated from the Royal Veterinary College. Now that he’s newly graduated, he’s hoping to gain further experience at a clinic in London. A nice, clean, modern clinic where he would see a variety of small, well behaved pets.
Instead, he finds out he is going to the Yorkshire Dales to assist a regional vet during the lambing season.
Charlie is less than thrilled and is determined to hate it. Wouldn't you know it though-there is a ginger farmer on the local Nelson farm who finds the stubborn, grumpy vet quite intriguing.
