He doesn't protest, but he does relax slightly when Zolf says "Sasha's, uh, Miss Racket's… whatever, the one with the suite, she's gonna meet me there." It's a lie, but the receptionist isn't looking for a lie. (And what good would the truth have done? "I need to think and we're too far from the ocean, so…that, basically.")

This safe house, which had apparently been Barrett's, is big and elaborate, but it was built for humans and Azu has to stoop for most doorways. There's no way to go out and look at the sky, either, not in this Other London that's basically one big cavern. Azu can't quite imagine what it must have been like to grow up here, or anywhere underground like this. It feels stifling. Like it might cave in at any moment.
She goes looking for Zolf.
