Summary
Denki looks over at Hitoshi, a warm feeling in his stomach. The artificial lighting inside the store is nothing special, but Hitoshi is standing next to the window and the rays of the setting sun highlight him in a way that lightens the bruises under his eyes and makes him look lighter. More carefree, less burdened by the heaviness of the world. He smiles when he makes eye contact with Denki, and the warm feeling grows until Denki feels almost bursting with it. They started this store on a whim, and it’s more of a hobby right now since they’re still in the peak of their hero careers, but Denki can see himself continuing to run this shop with Hitoshi even after they retire from being Pro Heroes, and when they grow old together.

Summary
Katsuki has been having a bad day. He's got a killer headache, and he still has to meet Deku and the others at the hideout to show them the cool creek he found. But Katsuki's going to be a hero! He has to be strong! So he refuses the comfort of his home, takes the medicine his old hag forces upon him, and leaves the house ten minutes before the agreed upon time.
He gets to the hideout, leads the extras to the creek, and then— unintentionally— falls in the fucking creek. Now the headache is gone, but in its place is a gruff, rude voice telling him to be nicer to Deku. What the fuck?

A pair of black-sneakered feet stepped down the dark streets of Kamino.
The night was silent. All of the hubbub that was in the usually busy ward was gone. Nobody was in sight on the streets. Everyone was hiding and scared of the dark. But there were no monsters here.
The figure continued their leisurely stroll, walking calmly over the countless cracks spider-webbing the concrete. For a moment, there was a breath of barely noticeable, low mumbling before the voice fell silent.

They're not bad glances, he knows. They still feel the same as every high school bully and every concerned teacher and every pacing monster, though. He's spent so long making himself invisible, hiding as best he could in schools until he inevitably got himself expelled, cloaking himself from monsters, making himself small behind rocks in Tartarus.
Now he can't hide. And he doesn't know what to do with it. Even when he'd been a leader, of Camp Half-Blood or Camp Jupiter or the Seven, it was always for a battle, and he always knew what had to be done. Now, there is nothing to be done. Now, there is nothing to look at but him, Percy Jackson, boy with roman tattoos and a greek necklace and not as many scars as he should have.
