Credence is squatting by the cow, his pants stretched taut so that Newt can see the precise shape of his thighs, his knobby knees, and also his bum, not that Newt is looking.
He turns, dark eyes flicking to the open collar of Newt’s shirt. “Nothing’s wrong, Mr. Scamader.”
Newt can see the shine of sweat on the back of Credence’s neck as Credence turns back to the milking. “Don’t you ever think of taking off some of your clothes?” he asks, wondering if it is heatstroke after all.
“I’ve-finished-the-milking-Mr-Scamander,” Credence says in a rush, and leaves Newt very much at a loss.
He feels the cow’s teats– she’s not finished, not even close.

Things have been quiet in Beacon Hills since the defeat of the Darach and the Alpha Pack, and now, in the summer before senior year, Derek has hooked Stiles up with the pack he got Jackson into in London so that he can learn from a different Emissary. During his study abroad summer he learns more about his spark, the running of a traditional werewolf pack, and Jackson - who is remarkably different away from his parents.
When he comes home to Beacon Hills in the fall it turns out that he can't leave everything from the summer behind.

Jackson turns toward him, mutinous and mulish, backs him up against the lockers, seething, "And what do you want me to do? Go to a therapist and, what, get fixed? There's nothing wrong with me, it's your friend who's using, I just want to level the playing field."
