To all and sundry, he related the tale of how his band of thieves had saved Neverwinter from the clutches of Forge, Sofina, and Szass Tam. Hell, even the poor slobs who’d got eaten by the dragon made an appearance in those stories. But, as if in counterbalance—a silent arrangement made without ever once acknowledging he was doing it—the one person he never mentioned during his ramblings had been Xenk Yendar.

Still weirder is the fact that Gideon has seemingly woken up on the wrong side of the bed and is now keen on fussing over Kremy and not letting anyone near him. The well-known feeling of a fae curse overtakes Gideon as he is transformed into a werebull. In season. How serendipitous. As it happens, alligator's season only triggers in warmer climates, and Gideon is burning like a hot summer. How serendipitous indeed.
