You've always had strange eyes. It's something that people often comment on or say to your face, "Your eyes are off." Yeah. You know.
And it's not the color or the shape or anything else specific that they can name, but you know what it is. It's not something they can see. It's what you can see, but they can't.
You can see ghosts.
Simple as that.
You see them as clear as the people walking in the streets and hear them as crisp as the songs you hear on the radio.
Ghosts, to you, are many things. They can be people who used to be alive, sure, but not always. Sometimes it's a tree that used to be in the park or someone's front yard. Sometimes a ghost is the sound of an extinct bird. A ghost can be a lot of things. A memory, a daydream, a secret. Grief, anger, guilt, resentment, joy, youth, nostalgia, love... But in your experience? Most times they're just what we want to see. Most times, a ghost is a wish. A wish that was never granted, and usually never will.
You see them as distinctively as the living.
Perhaps that's why you got into this situation in the first place.

Right now, Katsuki was soaking in the inner part of the spring, a tray with fruit, wine, pastries, and an incense burner on his side. He breathed in and out, inhaling the unique, mystic aroma of flora and herbs emitting from the burner and watching the snow slowly fall outside with lazy eyes.Yeah, he probably needed this vacation after all.
Katsuki’s vision turned hazy with so much mist in the air, he listened to his heartbeat becoming slow and even, limbs limp and relaxed. So limp and relaxed… limp and relaxed…

Aemond’s control snapped in half then. Turning around and grabbing at her throat with both hands. Crushing the soft flesh that gave way. Reveling at the sight of her life draining slowly from her eyes.
“You have no right to speak of things you do not know of!” He gritted through his clenched teeth. Jaw aching as he restrained himself from dropping to his knees and crying out to the wind all of his sadness and despair.
“You must not worry anymore.” She choked out, hands clawing desperately at his arms. “Your dragon ghost will now haunt you in flesh.” She gasped. “Lucerys Velaryon lives.”
Aemond’s eye went blank. Arms dropping to his sides in one swift movement. Felt the floor give way underneath him as he fell. Head heavy as he stopped breathing completely.
Lucerys was alive.
And he was one step closer to death.
