"None of these places are any good." Oikawa declares once they get back to the car, he's putting on his seatbelt when he says with conviction: "You know, Tobio-chan, you should just move in with us!"
"What?" Both Kageyama and Sugawara exclaim at the same time, one more alarmed than the other. Which is saying something, considering they both look like they've just told them they plan on murdering them in plain daylight.
The idea alone should be enough to send Iwaizumi into hysterics, too. He should already be chewing Oikawa up for saying such stupid things without actually thinking about the outcome. Instead, he pauses and actually considers it.

Or; Kageyama Tobio has been on their minds for vastly different reasons for well over a decade.
And sooner or later, something's gotta give.

Summary
Like most things in Kageyama’s life, it was stupid Hinata’s fault. At least that’s who he was going to blame. If it hadn’t been for Hinata and his reckless spike at the end of practice, he wouldn’t have collided with Kageyama, meaning he wouldn’t have bruised the setters’ ribs. If he hadn’t bruised his ribs, then Kageyama wouldn’t have come home and taken the strong pain medicine he kept from before his grandfather passed away.
Which led to the moment where he, high on pain medication, accidentally texted the group chat for setters instead of his older sister like he thought.
He was never going to live this down.
