Arataka knows everything and nothing about his neighbor.
He knows he’s 27 years old, he knows he works part time, he knows he’s got a younger brother, he knows he’s psychic, he knows he likes milk and can’t cook to save his life. he knows that twice or thrice a week he brings people into the house he has sex with and they leave looking like they were tossed inside a washing machine and let turn and turn for over an hour.
Arataka and his sister have developed theories over it over the years. Ayumi is vulgar about it, convinced Mob has a freaky fetish or a sex addiction. Arataka thinks it’s much deeper than that. The alarm settles as Taka walks out to the fields to join his class lined up. Keiji comes up to him immediately, eyes full of concern. “What happened? You look sick,” he says, and Taka could cry but he doesn’t.
“Hey Keiji,” he says instead, “aren’t you sick of people?”
“Yeah,” Keiji answers, concern still lacing his tone but with a tired, understanding edge.
Taka smiles. It isn’t pleasant. “I have an idea.”

Reigen woke up with an ache in the back of his throat.
Now, this itself wasn’t anything unusual. Deciding to smoke in his youth had set him up for years of health problems, and although he’d quit, now and then the old aches and itches still found their ways to his throat and lungs. He’d experienced it before, and he knew what to expect now.
So he thought nothing of it.

Summary
In truth, Mob feels like his decision-making skills are lacking recently. He considers that maybe he fulfilled his decision quota a few months ago when he finally picked where he would go to college –- a medium-sized university, no more than an hour away by train.
Since then, even the inconsequential decisions have been a puzzle. Which size milk to pick up from the corner store, what color shirt to wear, whether to get a haircut. The pieces are all there. They should all fit together.
But something was… off. Something in the way. A pebble in the bottom of a shoe, a popcorn kernel between teeth.
Mob realizes that there’s something underneath the surface that needed to be dug out, he just doesn’t know what it is yet.
