Things haven't been good between the two of them since River executed Danse and took over his role in the BoS, but because she's the closest friend River had in the BoS, Maxson sends her to find her thinking Haylen would have better luck. Haylen finds River alright--along with the presumed dead Danse--and someone else, too.

(Pulled from my Fo4 Companions React blog) Female Sole Survivor finally manages to convince Danse to do some soul searching at Acadia, at the expense of her nerves. Feeling guilty, she stops by Hotel Rexford alone while they're there getting supplies for the trip to/around Far Harbor to pick something up that will relax her enough to apologize without saying anything stupid. Turns out that Fred might not have been right about what the pill would do, but hey - at least it helped her talk to Danse easily enough.

Preston Garvey is on a mission for the Minutemen with the General (Sole), but things take a turn for the worse. Sole has to take care of his wound, but they hit a snag--to keep him from bleeding out, they have to hurt him even worse. Very short story. (Sole is kept gender neutral, for better immersion! Also because It's super frustrating for me to change every instance of a gender-neutral word. I did this as part of a prompt on my Companions React blog, and this is one of the ones that I liked the best. ) Young!Sole AU. Like, 17 or 16.
