Jimin feels bold enough and has had enough drinks to simply reach the hand not cradling his own chin to shush Jungkook’s fast moving lips with his finger. He decides it’s time for the second part of his plans.
“I like you, Jungkook-ah.”
Jungkook’s eyes go wide. “You do?” he says, his lips moving against Jimin’s finger tip. His lips felt soft and warm.
“Yes. Do you like me?”
Jungkook nods and Jimin smiles, swiping his finger across his lips until he grips gently at Jungkook’s chin, turning his gaze towards where Namjoon stands. Jimin stands so that he’s tucked up against Jungkook’s front. His body feels sturdy and yet welcoming, naturally curling around Jimin’s own even while Jimin forces his eyes another way. Jimin feels a small shiver of anticipation. He’s getting a little ahead of himself.
He reaches up on his toes to say in Jungkook’s ear, “And him, do you like him too?”

Summary
His manager bows in deference even though the figure in the room is already on the table, covered in a sheet with their face in the massage table hole.
“I apologize, Jimin-ssi, for the delay and for Jongho being unavailable. We have a very good replacement for you, Jeon Jungkook-ssi, a very reliable masseuse. He will take care of anything you need.”
Jimin doesn’t speak or move and his manager backs out of the room, making sure the door closes softly as he exits
And then he’s alone in a dark room with the world’s biggest artist and he nervously wipes a sweaty palm down his leg. He opens his mouth but doesn’t know what to say. He seems to sense an icy disappointment already resonating from the still figure on the table.

Jimin is the biggest rock star to come out of Korea. Jungkook is a masseuse who fills in for a colleague at the most exclusive spa in Seoul. Jungkook sees touch as a way to heal people. Jimin would say he doesn't need any healing, but he surprises Jungkook when he starts asking for him exclusively, and then offers him the opportunity of a lifetime: a job as part of his health team on his next world tour.

Summary
Jimin looks different. He’s lost weight but also gained muscle, his body shaped like a true dancer’s body, one that Taehyung recognizes from Jungkook and his classmates, clad in dark leggings and an oversized shirt. And his face. It’s lost all his baby fat, those cheeks that Taehyung used to cup in his hands.
Instead, his jaw is sharp and the plumpness of his lips are more accentuated. His hair is blonde, another reason Taehyung feels like he might be dreaming. It’s so different from the inky black hair Jimin used to sport that he can almost trick himself into believing this is another person, Jimin’s doppelganger maybe, but not his Jimin. Not his.
But then Jungkook says something that makes Jimin laugh, and before he brings his hand up to his mouth and before his body bends in two, his eyes shift to crescent moons and his lips spread wide in joy and no, it’s him. It’s him.

Jimin and Taehyung are inseparable as childhood friends, but things fall apart when Jimin moves overseas for university. Two years later, Taehyung has to confront the ghost of his past friendship when Jimin moves home and transfers to his school.

Jungkook risks a look at Jimin’s face and his eyes have widened slightly. His voice comes out really soft when he speaks next.
