Summary
Steve Harrington was born a mute. To the eyes of his parents and to the people of Hawkins. Steve is seen as Slow, Dumb, along with other slurs. When he presented as an Omega, he was less respected. He is the butt of everyone’s jokes, along with insulting him. No one wants to give him the chance to prove himself. Until Eddie Munson walks into his life and heart.

Summary
Rockstar Eddie Munson needs a fake boyfriend after a scandal; enter high end escort Steve Harrington. Unfortunately Eddie's heart didn't get the memo on the 'fake' part of the deal, while the more time he spends with Steve the deeper he falls, the closer he gets to something that looks a whole lot darker than a college student just trying to pay off his student loans.
“For you, your highness.” Eddie bent at the waist as he offered the cheap stuffed animal.
Steve’s eyes went wide, but he accepted the little stuffed animal, holding it up for inspection. Some of the stitches were visible and his eyes were lopsided, but it didn’t change the way Eddie’s heart stuttered as Steve very gently touched its nose against his own, holding it like it were an actual small creature and not cotton and thread.
“What’s his name?”
“Bernard,” Steve said with such confidence that Eddie couldn’t help laughing.
“What?” Steve said, looking mildly affronted.
Eddie grinned. “No, it’s a great name, Bernard the Bat. Berry for short even.”
Steve crossed his arms, but with the stuffed animal it looked more like he was hugging it to his chest.
“Slushies?” Eddie said before he could do anything stupid.

Summary
Steve Harrington is panting on his doorstep, red-faced, sweating and shivering in grey sweats. Harrington who no one has seen in months because his parents had supposedly shipped him off to finish school in France of all places.
Harrington who Eddie and the rest of Hawkins had up until now thought was an alpha.
Harrington who looks to be heavily pregnant.
"Holy shit you're an omega," Eddie rasps, frozen in his step.
"I need drugs Munson," the omega gasps.

Summary
In November of 1983, Steve is forced to confront a few realities. One being that monsters are real. They steal people from their homes and from pools and come out of ceilings. The other reality being that he’s an asshole. And well, he can only change one of those, so it’s time to ditch the friends that make him the worst version of himself and find some new ones.
After a mishap at school, freshman Gareth Emerson ushers Steve into a world he'd only been partially aware of, full of fantasy and laughter. He's unsure about senior Eddie Munson, who doesn't seem to believe he's changed. He hopes to change his mind and avoid more monsters, and maybe along the way he'll learn to love himself too.

Summary
“GET THE FUCK OFF ME!”
Eddie frowned and his head swivelled around when he heard the shout. Whoever that was, they didn’t sound happy.
He took a drag of his cigarette, before dropping it to the ground, scrubbing it with his foot, and started to move. Leaving behind the building’s shadow as he made his way further out into the parking lot, shifting between the parked cars of the Hideout as he followed the sound of angry voices.
He paused as he came around the side of a car, his surprise at the scene in front of him making him freeze, Steve Harrington was possibly the last person he expected to see in the Hideout’s parking lot at 11pm.
—————————————————————
When Eddie finds omega Steve in the parking lot of the Hideout with alpha’s Billy Hargrove and Tommy Hagen, he didn’t realise just how much his world would change.Or that it would be the start of the rest of his life.

Dick Clark began the countdown on the TV in the living room, Wayne sipped a beer on the couch.
Steve took Eddie's hand and pulled him over, and they stood on the edge of the kitchen and living room. Eddie and Wayne turned to each other, nodded, and began in unison. 5...4...3...2… and the clock struck midnight.
And with zero hesitation, Eddie grabbed Steve's cheeks and pressed their lips together, moving his hands up into his hair. "Happy New Year, baby."

Summary
Dustin, Robin, and Nancy make it out. That’s all that matters.
Steve isn’t self-sacrificial, at least not intentionally, but it’s no question that he’d get those three out of literal hell before himself. It only makes sense.
So now, he’s stuck in the Upside Down with a half-dead nerd he barely knows.
A journey through Steve’s relationships with himself and the most important people in his life: a lesbian, a know-it-all kid et al., his ex-girlfriend, a DM (whatever the hell that is), the DM’s uncle, and everyone else who seems to have wormed their way into his life since 1983.
(Or, how getting trapped in Hell on Earth with Eddie “The Freak” Munson puts every other relationship Steve has ever had into perspective.)
