Summary
When Gihun arrives at a secluded estate to begin a quiet job as a live-in Butler, he expects routine and silence, not the slow unraveling of the man who owns it. Hwang Inho, precise and distant, lives in a house curated to erase grief, where time itself has been banished. But as the days bleed into each other and small acts of care begin to accumulate, a fragile, unspoken connection forms between two men quietly weathering loss. In the stillness of polished floors and shared silences, they begin to remember how to be seen—and how to choose the living over the ghost of time stopped. This is a slow-burn story of grief, intimacy, and the quiet re-learning of presence.

When Gihun is invited to Junho’s wedding, he hesitates. He doesn’t like planes, hot weather, and he's not sure he can afford a week off work. It also doesn’t help that Junho’s brother is his ex he hasn't seen for two years.

Summary
The lightning illuminated In-ho’s face—his lips pressed into a thin line, yet his eyes glinted with warmth and promised safety. Coiled around his arm, a dry towel, as if he'd expected his husband to come back to him exactly as he did.
“Come here,” In-ho told Gi-hun in a low voice, unfurling the towel delicately. “You're drenched, honey.”
//or, Gi-hun comes home drenched from the rain.

Summary
Waking up wrapped in soft sheets, free from the pressure of obligations, was a rare comfort. Even better was the quiet presence of someone beside him in the wide bed.
In-ho leaned in toward the man sprawled across most of the king-sized mattress, pressing a kiss to the exposed nape. A quiet sigh followed.“It’s time to get up,” In-ho murmured, his fingers trailing over the waist he couldn’t resist. It reminded him just how much he craved control—and how often he claimed it. “I won’t let you spend the whole day in bed.”
“Just five more minutes.”

*FIX IT FIC*
*Under reconstruction - light edits per chapter*
In-ho makes a different choice before Gi-hun can. He breaks protocol. Starts the evacuation early.
After the Game, Gi-hun and In-ho are two men carrying the same kind of broken—grief-torn, guilt-heavy, and haunted by the choices that kept them breathing. What begins as excruciatingly fragile proximity deepens into something unshakable: a child who needs them both, feelings neither of them dare to name, and the terrifying, hard-won hope that they might still be worthy of joy. Orbiting the wreckage of who they used to be, they begin again—not cleanly, but together.
But peace doesn’t come easy. Not when the past hunts them with a badge and a grudge. Not when the line between guilt and forgiveness won’t stay still. As secrets unravel and old wounds split open, Gi-hun and In-ho must fight harder than ever—not for survival this time, but for a future they finally believe they deserve.

Summary
Gi-hun works for One Line banking in Busan, a company in partnership with Pool Investmemts run by none other than Director Hwang In-ho. When Gi-hun finally experiences a stroke of luck, he’s employed on a contract. Get in, earn some money, and get out, he thinks.
If only they both knew what was coming their way, and just how far they’d go.
_________________________________________________
A moment passed, “I’m glad I’m here with you” Gi-hun confessed then cleared his throat, “I - I mean with this job, this firm, the team we have”. In-ho nodded and Gi-hun stared at his lips that were increasingly growing into a smile. He wished the man could smile more; it was such a pleasure to see.
In-ho nodded, “I’m glad, too”. Then, like the perfect set-up for a K-drama, the radio played a slow ballad love song with lyrics that rang far too loudly in their silence.
I wish I could say all that I felt,
don’t want to waste a moment with you.
Stolen glances, missing chances,
I look into your eyes and know you feel it too. -

Summary
Then, he hears the little bell of his door ring through the shop, all the way to the back where he’s at, and he stops in his tracks.
He wasn’t expecting this.
What does he do?
Look.
Yeah, look.
He peeks out of the little window on the door to the front to see if it’s even actually a customer (who knows? It could be, like, his ex-wife or his mom or someone; it’s kinda weird to be getting a customer at this time).
Okay. That’s definitely a customer. And the customer is in an incredibly expensive suit. Hell, Gi-hun would go so far as to say that suit probably costs more than his entire fucking restaurant (though, this place can barely even be called a restaurant, to be honest).
Surely not, though, right?
Right.
That suit can’t be that expensive.

Summary
How does one recover from the loss of a child? How do two people continue to love when the culmination of that love is ripped from their arms mere hours after birth? The answer? They don't, at least not in Gi-hun's and Sang-woo's case. How could they stay together after that tragedy? But what if they were forced to work together again? To find common ground to survive? Can they survive together, or will they fall into an even deeper hole of despair? And if they fail to survive, who will remain to pick up the pieces again? Would there be anything left that can love again?
This fanfic will follow all three seasons of Squid Game. A/B/O dynamics, though that's mainly for the backstory's sake and won't be too crazy. Endgame is not Sang-woo/Gi-hun but will be In-ho/Gi-hun instead.

Summary
In-ho was sixteen when his baby brother was born dying. A failing kidney. A six or seven-year prognosis. A family stretched thin enough to vanish.
So In-ho vanished first. His childhood disappeared into hospital rooms and part-time jobs. His future was bartered for survival. And eventually, he literally gave up a piece of himself to keep Jun-ho alive. But when it was In-ho’s turn to need something—to save his wife and unborn child from a death sentence—his family couldn’t give what they no longer had. Or wouldn’t.
This is the story of the man who gave everything and was still called corrupt.
The story of what was given, what was taken, and what remains when you’re no longer willing to be the good brother.

For several nights in a row, In-ho could almost hear his voice saying, “I Told you so.”
Gi-hun would definitely have said it, if they ever saw each other again..

“Well then… good luck, I guess.”
Those were the last words In-ho heard as he walked toward the humming car.Six months after the victory, someone rings Gi-hun’s doorbell.
