The fire took everything. Her children. Her crown. Her dignity.
Visenya, the daughter she had dreamed of, was gone before she could breathe. Lucerys, gentle and tender, perished beneath hands that should have protected him. Jacaerys fell trying to save a brother, Joffrey followed, brave to the last, and Viserys — her innocent youngest — was swallowed by the unforgiving sea. And Aegon, forced to watch, carried her death in his eyes.
Flames licked her skin. Bone cracked, flesh burned, hair scorched. Yet she screamed not in fear but in fury, grief tearing through her chest with every roar of Sunfyre.
The court had called her monster. The realm had called her failure. She had endured betrayal, heartbreak, and shame, and still it had not spared her.
But as the fire closed in, a thought burned brighter than the flames: If there is any mercy left in the gods, let me rise again. Let me have another chance. Let me live, and let the world remember my fire.
