For all he knows, love is the alarm ringing in the background. And the alarm tumbles down the air vent, so that the air feels stuffy and cold and humid. If he looks out the window, he can make out something moving in the air, and maybe it’s the air particles or the smoke or the pollution. Either way, something’s moving through the air, and the water going down the drain reminds him of how risky it is to be standing.
So he kneels down and does the janitor’s job, not as a favor but as the devil’s work.
He can point out the ringing of false alarms; he even has layers of backup plans to support them.
His ears ring louder. Like fire alarms.

The silence in the room is mixed with lingering questions that everyone is too reluctant to ask. What is going on with Jimin? Even Jimin cannot answer that.
The truth of the matter is that he knows what’s causing the imbalance in his nature, but he doesn’t want to resolve it. He’s aware of the occasional earthquakes that rattle his mind, leaving him swaying like an unstable tree branch. And he’s also aware of the tsunami waves of nausea that wash over him, but he’s too resistant to them to even give a damn anymore. Though he's slowly fading away, he still finds a way to brush it off like it’s a frequent headache.
He’s dying, but it’s no different than living anyway.
