Summary
When he takes a chance on presenting a potential pattern of omegas going missing to his precinct's captain, Jensen Ackles finds himself taking and passing the exam to promote him to detective - the only omega detective on the force. Finding an alpha detective who would accept him as a partner would be a challenge, if Jared Padalecki hadn't just transferred to the same Dallas precinct with a reputation for accepting omegas into the profession. Hesitant to trust any alpha partner, Jensen tries to keep Jared at a distance of just coworker and not friend. As Jared begins to break through his defenses, and Jensen becomes more confident, he finds himself rushing headfirst into danger and becoming a victim himself.
Meanwhile, Jared has just begun to realize that his feelings for Jensen extend beyond friendship when Jensen is abducted during one of their stakeouts. Feeling like he's failed his partner, his sole focus becomes finding Jensen - and the other missing omegas - and bringing him home safely.

After losing Sam, thinking his brother has been killed by a nest of vampires, Dean walks away from hunting, unable to bear life without Sam. Heartbroken, he weaves his way from Georgia, where Sam died, to New Hampshire, settling in Portsmouth and trying to make a life for himself. Angered by Dean’s abandonment and fueled by his rage over being abandoned, Sam cuts a bloody path from Georgia, instinctively following after Dean with the intention of dropping as many bodies along the way as a signal to his brother that he’s coming for Dean and that he intends to make his brother pay for leaving him before making Dean understand that there’s no getting away from him.

Summary
Chad had an idea of how his life was panned out. It involved half-assing his way through school, ignoring the shit show that occurred on a nightly basis at his house, and otherwise just living the life. And then he was assigned a science project, but that wasn't the kicker – no, the kicker was that his partner was Jared fricking Padalecki, and the dude wasn't gonna let Chad skimp out on the project as much as he cared about it.

He enlists the help of a local psychic to no avail. And then, just as he's accepting his celibate fate, he meets Jensen Ackles while auditioning for a role. Jensen is extremely interested in Jared, and the feeling is mutual. Can Jared manage to turn this interest into the relationship he'd love to have, or will Chad's interference ruin everything for him?
