So anyway, I managed to graduate from that god-awful high school. But if you think I was able to go straight into college after, and my life will be sorted, you'd be dead wrong. With an abysmal GPA, no determined educational course to speak of, and mom generally thinking of it as a huge waste of money considering my lack of motivation, I couldn't go to college even if I wanted to... Or so I thought at the time. I worked at a bunch of dead-end jobs for months after graduation, forced to help make ends meet for my shitty family. Creepy men were still throwing themselves at me, me telling them I'm a lesbian only turned them on more, and worst of all, I couldn't play the pedophile card anymore to easily be seen as the victim. I was seriously contemplating finally saying 'fuck it all' and joining dad. But a chance reunion with an old friend at the Burger King drive-through might be just what I need to get my emotions back in order.

Jecka breathes slowly out her mouth, slumping her body forward. “Thats, uh…”
“Fucked up, I know. But I swear to you Jecka, it felt so real. I really fuckin’ thought you died, and I just-” She splays her hands out. “I don’t think I was even this sad when my dad died. And it wasn’t even real!” She laughs wetly.
OR:
Jecka dies in a car accident, and Nicole suffers with the survivor's guilt. A week after the funeral, she wakes up again on the morning of the night Jecka died- but she's not dead anymore.

Make no mistake. Nicole's NOT a sociopath.
She'll try to tell you otherwise but she's just as vulnerable, emotional and depressed as any other teenager. She's just better at hiding it. So good that nobody can see past the facade. Nobody except her. Jecka was a wrench in Nicole's routine in the best and worst way possible.
Nicole can't deal with someone caring for what seems like the first time in so long.
