Summary
Freshly promoted to junior partner at a prestigious law firm, Astarion has finally earned the position and stability he’d worked for for over a decade. When his carefully suppressed heats return without warning, threatening both his hard-won career and his sense of safety, the last thing he expects is his quiet neighbor from across the hall stepping in to save him.
As old trauma and biology collide, Astarion must learn to trust in kindness that doesn’t come at a cost and decide whether he can believe an alpha who wants nothing more than to care for him.Bookmarked by K1nglets

Summary
Hands reach out from the audience, grasping blindly as Gale walks the perimeter of the stage. Faintly, someone shouts out their undying adoration. Another screams their need to taste his sweat. Try as he might, Astarion simply cannot reconcile this man with the buttoned-up and bookish wizard he’s known for five centuries.
“Now, this next song is a personal favourite of mine.”
Gale tosses the barely-burnt stick to the ground, grinds it beneath a boot. His voice goes sinfully low as he presses his lips up against the mic.
“Worship,” he breathes out, lids fluttering. “With me.”
Five hundred years of freedom has prepared Astarion for anything. Except, as it turns out, his old friend Gale somehow ending up as one of Faerûn's hottest rockstars.

Summary
“I wish I could trust you to not break your promises, Astarion,” the devil said. “You know I don’t want to see you hurt.”
The cold fear in his blood dropped in temperature another hundred degrees to something that could have frozen magma. The devil knew his name.
The devil thought they had a bargain.
Astarion didn’t remember.

Summary
Astarion bristled all over like an angry cat. He hadn’t only forgotten to tip-toe around the traps—he’d just stepped his whole entire foot on one. “You’re the one who wanted to come to Candlekeep to find a cure, and we were just offered one on a silver platter. We’d be fools to stick our noses up just because the spell doesn’t involve frolicking with ponies through a field of flowers.”
In for a copper, in for a gold. “We’d also be fools to attempt an untested spell that might result in—”
“Irreparable, life-shattering consequences,” Gale supplied, helpfully.
Eruin nodded. “Yes. That.”
---
A searching-for-a-cure fic. AKA part 1 in the series where Tav's past comes back to haunt him, Astarion tries bottoming again, and the author lives out her fantasy of Astarion being loved by a hot young stud who worships the ground he walks on (because he deserves it).

Summary
“Seduction?” Gale sputtered. “You think me capable of seduction!?”
“Don’t sell yourself short, my boy,” Elminster said, “seduction is only the first step. You’ll be a vampire’s consort by the end of Nightal, or my name isn’t ‘Elminster Aumar’!”
“Oh, this is going to be good,” one of the Sages whispered, and Gale was mortified to feel his face flush a deep red.

Summary
"There's more writing on the bottom of the bowl," Shadowheart said. She was crouched down and pointing to markings on the underside of the creepy, bloodstained altar.
"Is there? What does it say?" Gale asked, shuffling on his knees to get closer to where she was pointing.
"He's going to crawl around like this and then complain about his knees all the way back to camp," Astarion muttered, sounding half amused and half exasperated. Karlach chuckled just a little, because he was right. Talk about being your own worst enemy: Gale versus his knees and back.
"It says 'within each self a monster'," Shadowheart read off of the underside of the bowl.
"Oh, this is very interesting," Gale said. "The blood spilled in the bowl will touch the other phrases, but not this one. I think that marks it as optional. I've heard of something like this before. Azuth set out trials for young mages where one could mark certain incantations with chalk and leave others blank, indicating how difficult a challenge one was willing to face."
"This would make the trial harder?" Shadowheart asked, straightening. "A more difficult test?"

Summary
Astarion wasn’t sulking, nor was he hiding from Gale. He was simply taking a relaxing moment to himself. A relaxing moment in the dark, pressed between boxes in what was presumably a storage room.
Sometimes it's easier to ignore an issue when you've got more imminent problems to deal with. Now that he's finally safe, Astarion finds it might be harder to ignore said issues.

Summary
The wooden box is small and nondescript. Tied shut with a plain, blue ribbon. The both of them stare at it for a long, long moment sitting innocuously on the desk by their door.
“I’m opening it,” Astarion says and gives the ribbon a gentle tug.
It’s made of silk, judging from the texture and easy slide, and he lifts the tiny, metal latch holding it shut.
The inside is filled with more silk, the same, early-dawn blue. He admires the sooth glide of it even as he plucks that up to reveal the item nestled within.
“Huh,” his darling says. Which is her way to say many things, but in this case likely means, “That’s a tiny, metal cock.”
These two losers finally get their hands on a Greater Magic Phallus; Astarion intends to break that in. Thoroughly.

Summary
Gale Dekarios of Waterdeep is running out of time and ideas. The Netherese orb fused to his chest grows hungrier with each spell he casts.
In a calculated risk, Gale travels to Baldur’s Gate to bargain with Cazador Szarr, the city’s ancient vampire lord, whose infernal pact with Mephistopheles may hold the key to unraveling the orb's power and freeing himself from his curse.
Reluctantly, he returns to Waterdeep with an unexpected “companion”, Astarion, one of Cazador’s spawn. There ensues the slow realization that neither of them is entirely what they seem to be.

Summary
Through all the pain and the anger and the shame, there is some tiny part of Astarion’s brain that is weirdly thrilled to see Cazador fail. Oh, Astarion would cast the amulet off in an instant if he could. It’s pointless. Stupid. Completely unhelpful. Tacky. Dangerous to his health and safety, certainly. All the same, Cazador ordered Astarion to take it off, and Astarion refused. Sure, it wasn’t exactly an intentional refusal, and he got himself brutally tortured for it, but this has been the first time in two hundred years that he has managed to disobey a direct order.
Any glee Astarion might have been feeling about that evaporates when Cazador orders him to crawl back into the tomb.
Astarion finds himself in possession of a cursed amulet that he cannot take off, even by his master’s command. It’s only after he’s sealed away in the tomb for his disobedience that he realizes the damned thing can talk.

Summary
Gale stood a few steps away, looking about at the mouth of the alleyway. Checking for witnesses, the poor little prude. “I believe we’re as alone as can be expected here.” Just a whisper, more to himself than Astarion. Gale paced forward, eyes bright in his face; he stopped an arm length away. Astarion wondered if the man wanted a bit of play, a bit of an attempt at innocence, or if he wanted Astarion to make the first move, to throw himself at his brave, strong savior.
While he pondered that, Gale spoke. “I must admit, for all my skill in the arcane, all my abilities in my field of magic, I have unfortunately always been somewhat lacking in social graces. For that reason, I’m at a loss on how to bring about this subject with any finesse.” Gale rubbed at his well trimmed beard.
Luckily, Astarion was very well versed in these particular social graces. Starting in another weak purr, “Oh, my sweet-”
“You’re a vampire spawn, correct?” Gale asked with his hands clutched behind his back.
During a night of hunting in Baldur’s Gate, Astarion encounters an archmage with an offer that seems too good to be true.Updates Tuesday, Friday, and most Sundays.

Summary
Mizora raises one sculpted eyebrow. “Even I don’t have power over life and death, sweet thing.”
“Not that,” Astarion snaps, fumbling in his pack. “Whatever you’ve done to the resurrection magic. Blocked it, or—undo that.”
The devil taps a finger to her lips, thoughtful. “My Wyll and I made a deal, little spawn. I can’t just ‘undo it.’ Not without something valuable in exchange.”
“Fine.” He grimaces, potion bottles and miscellaneous paraphernalia clinking against his palm—until finally, his hand closes on the familiar round of a scroll case. “You deal in souls. Take mine.”
To undo a mistake that wasn't his to make, Astarion strikes a deal. But the world is still ending, and Wyll isn’t so quick to see salvation in a devil’s snare.

Summary
“What do you want from me, Raphael?”
Raphael’s smile was slow and in tandem with the straightening of his spine. His sun-browned hands positioned themselves behind his back.
“I have asked myself that very question over and over again, thinking the answer haunting me could not be such a simple thing. It could not be rooted in such base instinct. Perhaps amidst the chaos of that fateful day, you managed to charm me. But I cannot deny what I am, Astarion, and what I can and cannot resist. The answer is always you. I want you.”
—
Astarion suffered many constants at the aquarium: constant boredom, constant awestruck faces pressing against the glass, constant hunger, constant dread of what torment Cazador would bring next…and the constant appearance of the handsome man he had saved four decades ago. The same man that shook hands with Cazador. A man that wasn’t a man at all.- Language:
