Summary
When Gwi-Ma dies the new Demon Queen who is reborn from his ashes is nothing like him. Jinu is hesitant to trust her at first but as Rumi reveals herself to be a loving and generous queen Jinu has to struggle with the feeling that he doesn't deserve happiness or forgiveness. Rumi is offering him a new life and he is afraid to take it but she refuses to leave him behind.

Rumi finds her fondness for the demons growing as she gets to know about them. As her and Jinu's relationship slowly develops over their time together before the Idol awards and Gwi-Ma's final showdown she finds herself questioning the nature of the demons more and more.

Jinu replied by sinking his fangs into her neck. Rumi couldn’t hold back the yelp that left her when his tongue followed suit, tracing the patterns on her skin.
“And you? What’s your excuse?” Jinu’s breath tickled Rumi’s collarbone. “One of Korea’s hottest pop stars, and you couldn’t get any? Yeah, right.”
“Not with these patterns, no.” She knew he was just goading her, but she had missed him enough to let it slide. “I never let anyone get very far.”* * * * *
Jinu returns in the middle of the night, and Rumi gets the chance to tell him -and show him- what she never did.

Zoey nodded, smiling at her before moving back onto the couch behind her. She moved her hands to the bottom of Rumi’s braid, removing the hair tie, and slowly beginning to unravel the braid. Her ministrations were so gentle, so patient, it nearly made Rumi want to cry. Did she really deserve this kindness, this gentleness after everything she had put them through? Her mind threatened to slip sideways into darker thoughts, but with monumental effort Rumi shut them down. If she started, if she even contemplated her guilt, her shame, for half a second, she’d spiral instantly. She wasn’t mentally ready to face any of that.

Would you like to begin again?
The question, posed by a faceless nameless entity sends Rumi's just now put back together life crashing to the floor. With the promise of a second chance, a do over, and the knowledge that the Honmoon might not be as perfectly fixed as they thought, she's forced to make an impossible choice.
Start over. Back at the beginning. Before she knew Jinu, before he betrayed her, before Zoey and Mira learned the truth about her patterns, before the world nearly ended and before they saved it. A second chance, a chance to do things differently, better than before.
She would be a fool not to take that offer.

The strangest part was that they were both sitting up on a bed, the half-breed using one half of a sheet to cover herself from the chest down, and Jinu using the other half to cover himself from the waist down. The parts of their bodies that were visible were all completely bare.
Once he put two and two together, Baby’s face formed a disgusted sneer.
It appears that Baby might have interrupted something. But it's not like he's gonna go gossip to the other Saja Boys right? And they'd react totally normally if he did, wouldn't they?
