Quirkless… It was a term that defined very few people in the world nowadays. And all it meant was that a person had an extra toe joint that meant they weren’t granted powers. Yet according to society, that wasn’t the only meaning of the term Quirkless. It also was synonymous with useless, worthless, and a waste of space, time and money. It meant that he would amount to nothing. It meant that he should spend his life begging and pleading for scraps at a table that everyone else got to eat at. Midoriya Izuku had started to learn the meaning of the word Quirkless at almost five years old. His Mom had taken him to a specialist who had blankly said Izuku would never get a quirk. And after that, everything changed. His Dad left and then Kacchan left and even his Mom had little hope for his dreams of being a hero. But Izuku still had one more thing to lose... and he lost it the day he ran into his apartment finally able to scream about the quirk he had prayed to the universe for.
Now he felt like the like the price the universe demanded for his quirk was too high.
