Summary
In Tim’s haze of fire, he ends up with a thought that turns everything into ice.
It’s been a year since he came back with Bruce and he never got an apology.
So Tim walks up to his older brother who’s now taken a step backward with slightly widened eyes at the smile- the cold and very wide grin that’s taken place on Tim’s face very quickly, very suddenly -and he walks straight up to the man in front of him, puts his hands on his shoulders, and knees him straight in the dick.
Casually stepping over his older brother practically crying on the edge of the platform, and ignoring the gobsmacked look shared among Tam, the security guards, and most of the press who caught it all on camera, he walks over to wooden stand with the microphone and begins nonchalantly talking about the unfortunate mistake made by someone he doesn't care about in a division that’s so unimportant he was literally thinking about shutting it down a few weeks ago.
The questions asked by the press weren’t on topic at all.

Once upon a time, he might’ve liked to have everything done and systematic. He wanted to be good for Batman at the start, then prove himself worthy of the name ‘Robin’ in the best way he could. He hated getting bored and loved a cold case to solve or people to analyse in order to understand them better.
Now, it was a need. He needed things done. He had to take care of something far greater than himself or his boredom. It wasn’t fun anymore. Well, it never really was fun, but either something close to that or something he could pretend was fun; it wasn’t something to relax to, something to calm his mind or occupy him. It was an ‘I have to’.
He could get out of this, but...he didn’t want to. He wanted his best friend to kidnap him and take him far away from this city and his responsibilities.
Kon smiled brightly. Tim’s lips quirked up, too, involuntarily.
“Pack up, Boy Wonder! We're leaving! Right. Now.”

Tim gets goaded into taking a vacation with his friends.
A plan for three days laying on the beach, doing nothing, turns into a drawn out cross country road trip. Which, of course, leads to many revelations.One, Tim Drake loves Conner Kent. [Cassie, Bart, Cissie, Greta, and Anita already know this]
Two, Tim Drake hates having like twelve million jobs. [A surprise to no one but Tim]
Three, Tim Drake cannot remember the last time he wasn’t sore, hiding an injury, or just running around to put out the next metaphorical fire. [Again, not a surprise]
Four, Kon is a fantastic masseuse. [No, Tim is not telling him. It will only inflate his ego.]
Five, Kon’s control of his TTK has gotten infinitely better. [Again, not telling him.]
And six, the world totally doesn’t fall apart when Tim takes a break. [Pay no attention to Gotham City nearly burning to a crisp]
